Over 2 years on from our wedding and I still am thankful every day we chose Tuggeranong homestead. From our first meeting there, we knew it was where we wanted to get married. Staff were all very accomodating and made it clear they would do what we wanted to make our day special. The day ran smoothly thanks to all the work they did behind the scenes! I wish I could get married ten times over and I’d choose TH every time!!

We are so glad to have chosen Tuggeranong Homestead for our wedding! The staff were amazing. We booked 14 months ahead, we were allowed multiple visits to plan our day and everything we asked for and more was provided. Ann & Gerry did an amazing job for us and they put a lot of work into the homestead in general. The gardens are beautiful, we were lucky to have the peaceful and beautiful setting to ourselves. Our guests (112) could explore the homestead and property while we had photos and enjoy the extensive bar. The machinery shed for the reception was well heated although it was cold outside and even though we advised guests to bring warm clothing we still had to turn some heaters off!
The food was exceptional! Many of our guests raved about it, especially their canapés and said it’s the best wedding they’ve ever been to! And we agree!

Wonderful birthday party held at the Homestead! Some 40 guests enjoyed dining in the historic house and gardens - so different to a restaurant -, with delicious food and friendly efficient service from staff. Many thanks to Managers Ann and Gerry for a very memorable occasion.

We recently celebrated our day at the Homestead and experienced a mixed outcome.
The actual venue is BEAUTIFUL and caters amazingly to anyone wanting a rustic styled wedding. All of our guests commented on the beauty. The food was also incredible and loved by all.
Prior to our wedding the communication we received from the Homestead was good, clear and consistent and we were very confident.
However, on the day we were disappointed. No one was there to let us in upon our arrival, when we were setting up and had questions we were unable to find any staff on site to assist besides the chef. We first saw staff 20 minutes before our wedding commenced and by then things were too late to be asked.
We were not informed that the heating in the shed wasn’t working and when our guests complained of the cold and we raised this, no further action was done, this resulted in some people departing early to due to cold. When we needed assistance with our cake cutting, again no staff in site.
The actual bar staff and wait staff who served out dinner and drinks were terrific and friendly however and made quite the impression.
We still loved our wedding and would return here for the venue, food and wait staff, but we are somewhat disappointed at the poor communication on the day and the inability to problem solve things such as the heating.
Thank you.

As a marriage celebrant I can’t speak highly enough of the fabulous team at TH. Anne and the team go above and beyond to always look after their couples. Anne always has a big smile and the staff are always so lovely. A fabulous Canberra venue worth checking out!

Sadly one of the worst weddings I have ever been to, the timing was poor, hours of waiting around, a very old converted shed, with bar heaters and shad cloth replacing windows which didn't stop the cold from coming in. Very glad to get back in the car to drive away. If you think of going there, suggest you look very closely, user beware. Mark
