There are 20 or more massage clinics in Mackay but I usually go to Oriental & Remedial Massage. The massage team perform great massages and throw-in extra time when it's quiet. They are courteous and always ask what my problem areas are and fix them.

Amazing energy. It's hard to find ppl who are good at their job in recent days. I didn't have to explain my problem areas. They knew them. I have TMJ in my jaw. It wasn't a concern for treatment at the time. The beautiful, highly trained ladies, they got it! They didn't need to be told previous history. I've been to many massage therapists. Hats off ladies, Thankyou, it's appreciated. Your knowledge of the body.

I first had an appointment a few weeks ago. When I arrived at the clinic, initially no one was there so I was thinking maybe I had the wrong place and then I received a phone call asking if I was coming. The place felt unprofessional and it was a strange environment, but I proceeded with the massage and actually had a positive experience with the owner (I'm assuming). She was able to release tension in an area that is usually too sensitive to touch, so I was impressed and left feeling some relief - although she brushed my hair with a comb which was gross & annoying because I have curly hair so it went frizzy.

I booked another appointment this week. When I arrived at the shopping centre it was closed so I messaged the business for directions. One of the ladies called to inform me she was working from home, so I rescheduled for the next day. I entered the clinic, and pre-paid for the massage but then had to wait in the public seating of the shopping centre for the previous client to leave. When I laid down the same lady I had originally came in and started using her massage tool. Then it seemed another person took over (without saying anything). The surrounding sounds of staff talking (particularly the owner) and the shopping centre (there are no doors into the clinic) were not relaxing at all. The therapist did not say anything to me throughout the entire 30 minute treatment. I was not covered with a towel and it felt very impersonal. I am one to handle very firm pressure, I have Chinese/Asian massages quite often. The pressure that was applied to my neck was very concerning. When working on my back, the lady was punching my back (like pounding but immense pressure) and the whole massage was very uncomfortable, painful and definitely not remedial. I was so glad to get out of there. This morning my back is very painful and bruised. I don't normally write negative reviews, but what they did to me is very concerning. Upon looking at other reviews, it seems like this is a common occurrence. Stay away!

Today 15/3/24, I had he best massage EVER!

From the dry Needles that didn't hurt, to the oil and heated stone massage, including cupping, I feel fantastic!!! The massuer and her Mum both worked their magic on me.

I'd never had cupping, but it seems to help relieve the tension as well.

I feel awesome!!

I am visiting Mackay for work, and rang last minute to see if they had availability. It was close to closing time, and Hili was so accommodating. She opened her shop late to accommodate a much needed massage. I also received cupping, and some accupunture, which has left me feeling absolutely fantastic and like I've lost 20kg of weight off my back! I can't recommend Hili enough, and will definitely be returning when I'm back next month.

I had a 1 hour traditional Chinese massage. Please note that this technique is not designed to be a relaxing experience. It includes acupuncture, cupping and extreme deep tissue work using elbows. This promotes new blood flow and healing in the muscles, which can cause some discomfort afterwards that can take a few days to bounce back from. You can speed up recovery with hot magnesium baths, drinking plenty of water and resting your body.

I had a great experience here, my back responded really well to the treatment and the women working here are friendly and compassionate. I highly recommend this parlour and will return during my next visit to Mackay.

Today I was attended by 2 ladies but one lady is very old & not giving enough pressure in the right place. Its more like a soft stroke that feels nothing. The old lady also put overly hot hot-stone on my skin & I feel very painful. She continuously rub so strong in the wrong area too.

Oppositely, the other lady is too strong & Im in so much pain. I tell her many times to be gentle but she kept persist. My pain in shoulder & calf isn’t attended at all. Rather they focused on other areas even though I already informed before session & kept reminding to focus on my pain area. She kept bashing my back & pounding my neck. Im in so much pain.

Also, the ladies continuously had a fight thus its very noisy & I cant rest. They also busy attended other guests so my 90 minutes time is not maximized. The worst is they comb my hair & rub scalp roughly with oily hand so I left with greasy hair & noticed hair loss in the bed & my clothes. I have to wash hair twice to get rid of sticky oil. Very unprofessional & unthoughtful!

If you are fine with extreme strong rough rushed bash/massage, this is for you. But if you prefer deep tissue massage concentrated in pain area with pace, I suggest to look for other place.

I had 90mins massage for $130 and felt even more painful when leaving this place. My pain in calf & shoulder remained & I have other pain in back & neck now. The next day I wakeup feeling uncomfortably sore & must take aspirin. Im very disappointed & want refund!
