I’ve been a regular customer here ordering the same thing each time and I’ve noticed the drastic changes in how they handle and serve their coffee within the past few months.

Ever since some of the original staff have left ,the coffee that I’ve been ordering has not been the same and inconsistent. Often, I’d look into the window and predict that the coffee will taste bad purely because of the staff making it. I think they need more training!

As well as making sure that the coffee ordered is correct. I’ve had multiple instances where it was wrong and I’ve had to correct them at the window.

Disappointed by Repeated Mistakes — Not Safe for Dietary Requirements

I’m a regular customer, but I’m increasingly frustrated by how often my order is served incorrectly. I have a strict lactose intolerance, which I clearly mention every time, yet I’m frequently given items containing lactose.

One staff member in particular — a gentleman with a beard and glasses who enjoys chatting — often gets my order wrong

This isn’t just an inconvenience; it’s a health risk. If you have any medical dietary restrictions, I would strongly advise against relying on this place. I’m now actively looking for a better alternative nearby that offers a drive-thru and takes allergy and intolerance requests seriously.

My hot chocolate was great, however I ordered Vegemite toast with butter. I have a restrictive diet so its the only food I order when I go to any zarraffas. This is the only zarraffas who has ever stuffed up 3 pieces Vegemite I nearly laughed. I couldn't eat it was horrid. Don't put spreads on and then toast it? This has never happened to me before. The smell was enough of a warning but I did try it. Yeah na.

Update: went back today and gave it another go this time specifying id like buttered toast with my Vegemite sachets separately. Perfect experience so will change my review. Still want to make the business aware this happened the first time around so they can educate not to do that in future but I will know also for future to just ask for it to be done this way at this store to avoid the cafuffle entirely 😅

Visited Zaraffa's Coffee Grovely and noticed a massive line for the drive-thru. To avoid the wait, I walked in and was able to leave before most of the drive-thru customers had been served. Although it was a hot day, this was definitely a quicker option. While most of the machines were working for the drive-thru, it seemed that one person was managing the coffee orders for walk-in customers. Overall, it was a much faster choice despite the heat!

Just wanted to give a quick shout out to the amazing staff last week. Rocked up for my early morning coffee to a drive-thru line that went out the car park - it appeared the staff were dealing with a broken intercom/ordering system. A staff member greeted customers by the car-side and took orders, and the line moved very quickly. Fantastic-tasting coffee given how busy they were. Shout out to the team, you run smoothly in chaos!

I had now the worse experience with this Zarraffa’s in all of Brisbane . 3 x now they have got my order severely wrong . I gave them three chances each time loudly and politely expressing what I would like and somehow each time they managed to give me either the wrong order or something wrong with my food or drink . Asked for a certain drink and both times gave me the wrong one . Asked for no cream or icecream and both times gave me icecream and cream . 🫠 they do not listen and I wasted a lot of $$ something I enjoyed getting has now turned into a whole disappointment.
