We recently stayed in Mackay and tried YAW on our first morning; then went back everyday for the next 4 days. The coffee & food was great, tried my first Match (delicious!) and even got some cookies from their bakehouse next door. Everyone was so friendly and whether we went there when they were quieter or busier, we never waited long or had the quality change. Our newest fave for when visiting Mackay!

The food was over hyped on instagram compared to what I got in person.
Food was average at best, I've had better quality eggs Benny's from the coffee club.
No water for the table either which is a bit weird for macaky considering the heat most the year round.
Food wasn't anything like the photos they put on there instagram, lacked any more of taste and a bit pricey for what it was.

Overpriced food and average service. Charged $10 for what would equate to maybe one scoop of hot chips. Asked the staff if it was an accident, as I was genuinely suprised. But no, no mistake. Most items are grossly overpriced. Wouldn’t recommend.

Doesn't have a very pleasant smell. Girl who serviced had no manners, no please, no thanks, rude. Then proceeded to wait 20 minutes for my wrap to be toasted, when I queried they had given my order to someone else. Girl who fixed order very pleasant & wrap was quite nice, not sure if worth the wait when wanting a quick takeaway.

Never in my life have I ever returned food because it was near inedible. One bite and instantly gagged. Informed them that it was a soggy, greasy mess; however they insisted this is how traditional Vietnamese food is made (what would I know I've only been to Vietnam 4 times in my life). Felt awful having tell them about the food, although in hindsight I shouldn't have said anything at all since the cashier got quite defensive. We left immediately after; very disappointed. Went to the DISPENSARY instead and had a wonderful time. I hope people have a better experience.

Had a double cheeseburger with bacon .Good size ,bacon was spot on patties nice .Missis had the pork tacos ,delicious ! Day before I tried a brisket cheese and bacon pie .Again flavours were spot on , however the pastry on the bottom was well underdone won’t stop me coming back everyone has a miss now and then (I still ate it haha)and this place was s a breath of fresh air in the world of crumbed steak and parmi,s that is Mackay dining .

Honestly, Yaw was the best breakfast feeds I've had in Mackay. Not only were the staff incredibly friendly & accommodating but their food was delicious! I will rave about these guys to all my friends

Very tempting meals, delicious although larger serves so couldn't finish the plate. Juice was tasty. Friendly service. Super sad I left my mocha frappe behind 🙁 it was full! Will try get back again another time to sample the rest of the menu.
