I had an unveiling for my fathers headstone on a Friday. The booking process was fine and simple. However was extremely disappointed in the food provided. Organised for 30 guests for Menu C at $35 per person. Food in the picture was all that was provided plus beverages. This is more for awareness for anyone who wishes to book in future. If you're looking at catering, ask the quantity so that you're not disappointed like I was. $1,050 for 1.5 hours room hire and food and 1 wait staff. It's a lovely venue and convenient but $1,050 could have been better spent elsewhere.

This isn't a big commercial style cafe but a small and cafe place. There are only a couple of seats inside, which would be problematic if the weather was bad. We were able to sit outside which was nice. We only had coffees and teas and these were good. The server was very nice. We had arrived early for a service so this was a good spot to have a coffee and wait. There were also some naps of the memorial park which were useful.

The room that we were given for the wake for our mother’s funeral was not the one we had agreed on. The acoustic was ear shatteringly noisy with all hard surfaces on walls and floor. Venues should wake up to the impact that the acoustic has on the atmosphere in a room. It was very disappointing after a beautiful service in the West Chapel. The macaroons were lovely but the savoury food was ordinary

Went to the Cafe with my mum on a visit to my dad's memorial. I was shocked at the small size of the Cafe and lack of seating. Clearly this venue is set up for a wake after a funeral to the detriment of cemetery visitors. The food was good ( but a bit expensive) the service was outstanding but won't be dining there again ( unless I am there for a wake after a funeral)

The memorial to my late husband was ruined due to management switching my group of 30 guests from the small room that I had booked weeks in advance, to the large room. To make matters worse they arranged seating along one wall where people were squashed in and unable to easily get in and out to the buffet. The slide show tv was visible to only half of the guests. I checked with the cafe the day and week beforehand they were all aware of the room I had booked but didn’t advise me of the change.

The Celeste Cafe is well suited for wakes due to its location and the generous size of the rear rooms. The quality of the food and drink is also good. We like to visit for coffee, albeit there is only one table inside the cafe part.

Worst ever, food not up to standard for a $40 menu per person.

we were given 1/12 hours for the cottage and an hour later they started packing up the left overs.
