Clean, tidy and well located near the A1. Stayed overnight on my way from Port Stevens to Brisbane. Parked right outside of the room, which was convenient. I found the room to be clean and recently upgraded. Some of the pictures here are old and don’t represent the current condition of the rooms. Tab and coffee in the room. Clean shower and toilet.

We rang a few hours before arrival and booked room #4 for $150. We normally stay at the #1 TA rated motel 200 metres away but because they've gone pet friendly, we decided on this motel for a change. |The owner was very friendly and thanked us for staying with them. No offer of a bottle of wine as a previous reviewer mentioned. I would find that strange anyway and he told me they were always fully booked. He'd be going through hundreds of bottles per week if that was the case. |The room was very clean, a good size, with a bar fridge, tea and coffee but no biscuits. No small cartons of milk, just those small single serve capsules. |No shampoo, conditioner or body wash, just 2 small cakes of soap. |The room was quite light unless you closed the bathroom door (which was off its bottom runner) and pulled down a blind above the vanity. |Bed was comfortable but strangly, the bed only had a top sheet for warmth. We had to get the blanket out of the cupboard and found it had a slight dusty odour and was only a double sized blanket for a queen size bed. It also had some damage in one area. |The vanity wasn't in the bathroom so you had to go to the bathroom to use the handtowel if you wanted to have it hung up. We just left it on the vanity. A simple towel rack would be beneficial. The bathtowels were thin and scratchy, so need replacing. |We had a single bed as well so there was only 1 bedside table on one side. The room had reasonable lighting, tiled floor, 3 comfy chairs. We didn't put the air con on but realised it was on in the morning, whether deliberately left on we don't know but it was so quiet we didn't know it was on. For $150 it was expensive, but most motels in that area and nearby Coffs Harbour are. ||

I want to preface this review that the owner is a lovely man, very friendly. I was working in Coffs and due to my error left the booking too late to secure my normal motel. Every where was booked out and the only available rooms were here. Whilst the rooms are very spacious, they are not maintained to a great standard. Fly screen missing in the bathroom. Empty soap wrappers and long black hairs in the shower. Bathroom very small and vanity is in the main room. The mixer tap on the vanity was very loose and I nearly pulled it out the first time I used it. The rooms are not serviced daily ( if staying longer than a night) owner said he would get “ the girl” to service room on the Wednesday. This was not done. So no clean towels until Thursday. Floors were not swept or anything wiped down. Thank god since covid I always travel with glen 20 and disinfectant wipes. There is a full sized fridge in the room which was handy, but on top is the microwave. So when I used it I had to stand on the chair. Milk , tea bags and soap are not replaced so bring your own. The beds are very comfortable and the air conditioning works well.

We were meant to stay here on our way back from a couple of weeks in Sydney over Christmas. Hubby, myself, and 2yo daughter. The rooms are a bit old but clean and very comfortable. There's everythinh you need and the beds are comfy. The pool is lovely. But the staff - the staff are spectacular, they went out of their way to make sure we had everything that we needed and later that evening when our daughter suddenly decided that she had had enough of being in strange places and "just wanted to go home" my hubby went to let the owner know that we'd be checking out that night (she was super distressed and we realised that we were only 3+ hours from home) and he came back to the room with a book and extra biscuits for her. The owner was so apologetic but honestly it was just a little girl's homesickness and certainly not something he was responsible for! His kindness made me want to cry, it was just so genuine and amazing. 1000% would stay again. And next time we'll actually stay the night!

Very easy check in and nice owner and staff. Close to beach and Woolies. Good number of beds in room to fit our family. Was easy to get in and out off the highway on our way back to Sydney. Was a bit expensive but it’s normal for these holiday times. Everything has gone up

We stayed at the motor in on our way back home, while the room looked clean, the was run down and just look dirty because of that. Neither the pool nor the BBQ area looked very inviting.
The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Stayed in a family room (2 bedroom) on New Years Eve to break the long car trip Sydney-Brisbane. Room was clean, comfortable and quiet.||||Just out of Byron on New Year’s Day, received a message that we had left the switch charger in the room. The management kindly posted the charger to us in Brisbane and did not want to be reimbursed.||||Lovely people, lovely end to the Christmas holiday.

Husband and I decided to break our trip from Byron Bay to Wingham, stayed at the Woolgoolga Motor inn, the rooms were large, very clean and nicely appointed, had a full size fridge and stove. The bed was so comfortable had the best night sleep, the owners were friendly and welcoming even gave us a bottle of red wine, which was welcomed after a long day. Would highly recommend them and we intend to stay again when we head north for the winter.
