Years ago, I saved a photo of Woodburn Homestead on my Pinterest board. From the very first sight, the ochre and red brick open-air chapel captured my heart. So when my partner and I decided to elope, there was no question—it had to be Woodburn Homestead.

When planning your special day, you assume you’ll be the most invested and excited party. That’s why it feels truly special when you find vendors who are just as passionate and devoted to bringing your vision to life.

From our very first conversation with Bianca from Figtree Weddings, I knew we were in the best hands. As both our planner and stylist, Bianca brought an incredible balance of professionalism, creativity, and calm that completely transformed our experience. Her attention to detail was unmatched—every element was beautifully thought out and flawlessly executed.

But what truly sets Bianca apart is her warmth and kindness. Even though we eloped with no guests present, it felt like we were surrounded by friends in Bianca, Michael, and Cindy.

Bianca listened with intention, made us feel truly heard, and went above and beyond to curate a day that felt deeply personal and authentic.

We were also lucky enough to have Cindy design and prepare our evening canapés, dinner, and dessert. Every dish was a delight—delicious, thoughtful, and made with such clear care and intention.

We will be forever thankful for Bianca, Cindy and Michael, for making such a beautiful venue available to couples.

Woodburn Homestead is an AMAZING wedding venue. It is one of my favourite wedding venues!!! The open-air chapel is breathtaking, on-site photo locations are stunning, and the food is delicious! Cindy and the team are phenomenal and do a fantastic job in making everything run perfect.You will LOVE it!

One week on from our daughter Katie and son-in-law Matt’s amazing wedding at Woodburn Homestead and we continue to smile. We can’t thank Cindy and her amazing team enough and we couldn’t have dreamt of a better venue and all it has to offer. The beautiful old homestead in which the bridal party stayed for four nights was just the perfect place for the girls to get ready and the lighting for the photos was stunning.
The versatility of Woodburn with the old open air barn for the ceremony, the lawns and stable for the grazing table, canapés and chill out zone and then the back lawn for the marquee and our sit down ceremony for 100+ people and dance area - it was perfection.
And then there’s all the staff that worked tirelessly behind the scenes - Cindy, Mike, Mandy, Lucy, Lisa, all the amazing bar and other kitchen staff (I’m sorry that I can’t remember all their names) who were so helpful and friendly. So many of our guests commented on how all the food Cindy served was absolute top quality. Many of our guests said that this was the best wedding they have ever been to and memories will last for ever.

Simply the best! Our son recently married his beautiful wife there a few weeks ago. We were blown away by the venue, the food and the staff. We couldn’t have wished for more. The food was truly outstanding and plentiful. It was a cocktail reception for 130 people and no one left hungry that’s for sure. The food started to come out once the ceremony was finished and continued to come out right up until we left at midnight with late night snacks of cheese toasted and hot dogs great to soak up the beverages. The waiting and bar staff were superb and dealt with the masses impeccably. The venue itself is a fairytale in itself, the chapel, cottages, barns and marquee are all beautiful. Nothing was too much trouble with the event co ordinator

Tucked away along the Angas River is a beautiful character homestead with rustic barn and gardens that has heritage Australian charm for miles. Woodburn Homestead forms such a beautiful and versatile setting that our couples love and it always has us pumped for a well appointed country wedding. A beautiful venue for a wedding, Bianca is amazing and so helpful on the day , highly recommend as an alternative to the box standard Adelaide Hills winery do.
