Very peaceful location. It would be great to pack a picnic and read a book in a quiet nook. Our family loves Australian history so we had a great time looking at how the original settlers lived. The historian on duty was very knowledgeable about the families who lived there over the years and how the property had changed over time.

Beautiful old stone house. Interesting piece of Brisbane history. Lots of birds and kangaroo around. The entire site is not very big, 1.5 - 2hrs max if you come here for the high tea as well. The high tea was fine, very basic. I wouldn’t call it high tea though, more like basic morning tea.

I came here during Brisbane Open House. The admission was free, but it was a self guided tour. I'm sure I would have appreciated it much more with a guide because there is so much here on display. So maybe coming on a normal visit with paid admission is actually more worthwhile.

Beautiful piece of history and tucked away gem. Serene place for high tea, the scones, damper and tea were delightful. This historic house is rich in history and is like stepping back into the past.

Enjoyed a high tea and a tour of the farmhouse & grounds. Erin, our volunteer tour guide, was informative & passionate about the history of the house & grounds. Amazing to see history practically in out backyard. The high tea itself definitely set the scene in line with the rustic feel of the farmhouse.

This hidden gem is well worth a visit. We enjoyed a tour of the homestead and the volunteers were friendly & knowledgeable. The Devonshire Tea was also delicious!

Friendly and great service from the staff. Grounds and buildings very nicely maintained. Plenty of wildlife moving around. Great views from the back balcony. Great tea and coffee and selection of snacks (Entry to the house is included with food purchase) Great historical site. Plenty of parking and shady areas for a picnic. Highly recommended visiting.
