Omg what an amazing anniversary Woolumbin Palms retreat is an experience to have. We stayed 2 nights and wish we booked 4 😜 the earth lodge was the one we stayed in. We stayed in the water lodge 13 years ago for our first anniversary and that was amazing also. It was just the best experience we also added the romance package and I tell you we will be back! The host Alice is warm and her husband also just nice to get away for a special occasion and be wowed can’t add my video for a walk through x bed so comfy and pillows massage’s where epic! Highly recommended! ❤️❤️❤️

What a very special place Wollumbin Palms Rainforest Retreat is! The family who own and manage the Retreat are also special, providing personalised service to each of their guests.||The Elopement / Small Weddings Package provides excellent value for money and Kay and the Team all work to ensure that everything possible is done to provide a very special day for the Bride and Groom. You can choose from several beautiful locations for the ceremony - our daughter and her new husband chose the Earth Lodge, with simply stunning views of Mount Warning and the surrounding area. The area was beautifully presented, with carpet aisle, lovely covered chairs, arbor and signing table. The package includes all services (which can also be up-graded or extended if needed), including:-||* Hair - a personal stylist for the bride, who did a wonderful job and even stayed on to help our daughter dress and make last minute touch-ups to her hair;|* Make-up - for the bride and we extended this to include Mother-of-the-Bride and we were both extremely happy with the results;|* Celebrant;|* Flowers - a bridal bouquet and groom's buttonhole, which we extended to include a floral display for the arbor and matching buttonhole for Father-of-the-Bride. All the flowers were absolutely stunning and far exceeded all our expectations;|* Photography - we extended this service so that bride and groom photos could be taken before, during and after the ceremony, as well as family photos at the reception;|* Champagne for Toasting the Bride & Groom.||In addition to this, Wollumbin Palms Rainforest Retreat is pet-friendly and all our dogs were not only able to stay with us, but attend the ceremony! The package also included other thoughtful touches such as champagne & strawberries on arrival, and a gourmet slow cooked meal on the first night. We organised a separate catered reception, but this can also be arranged by Kay and her Team and held in the extensive grounds.||We all had a wonderful day, with most of the family looking forward to another visit!|

We really enjoyed our stay here in the Water Lodge. Watching the waterfall from the bed, shower and balcony was a delight. Every need is catered for, from sourdough and jams, to mozzie coils and candles. The lodge is fully self contained with everything you could need. It is 100% private and very comfortable with multiple heating and cooling options. We didn't see a single person during our stay, which is just how we like it! A short and beautiful drive to Mt Warning Hotel for lunch is a must. ||On the negatives, there are very few, but I must say if you have a fear of spiders this place may not be suited to you. Naturally, because of the forest, you will encounter huntsman spiders in the building, mainly in the breezeway, which is not fully enclosed. They are harmless and leave you alone, and the owners have done their very best to mitigate the bugs with fly spray available and sonic insect repellent. I also didn't enjoy the bed hanging on chain from the ceiling. It moves a bit when your partner rolls over. I think it would be better placed on the ground and facing the waterfall directly.||Aside from these minor elements, the Water Lodge was a stunning getaway that we will highly recommend.

Lovely weekend away for our anniversary. We stayed in the air lodge, all the little touches and extras in the room were amazing. So peaceful. We added on the romance package and it did not disappoint. The dinner and dessert delivered to our lodge were delicious, massage was exceptional, and whole experience was great. The glow worms at night up on the drive were also very cool!! Will definitely recommend, I might come back again with a girlfriend or two. Perfect for something different, I enjoyed just relaxing for a couple of days and not needing to go anywhere or do anything. They had everything we needed to make the most of our stay, I was able to make a cob and toast it in the microwave which is also a little oven! They also had reverse cycle air con, fireplace and electric heater so we kept warm during the cool rainy days we were there.

We just spent 3 nights in the Water Lodge. What a lovely concept - two great Javanese rooms either end of a breezeway. Comfortable, secluded, quiet - just what we were looking for. Highly recommended for a romantic getaway and great base to stay in to explore the area. Hopefully the Mount Warning NP will reopen soon.

Just returned from 4 blissful nights in the water lodge. This place is amazing! My husband and I regularly holiday in Bali, so when I found the water lodge, we found our Bali and didn’t have to leave NSW. The suspended bed looking out on the rainforest , the glassed walled shower, the spa looking out into nature and the fireplace in the breezeway are all just breathtaking. Throw in a couples massage, a beautifully cooked curry topped off with a bottle of champagne and you have a 5 star experience. We totally relaxed for 4 nights. Late afternoon we filled our glasses and wandered down to the dam to spot the platypus. You can take food to cook or within walking distance is Mavis’s or Rainforest Cafe ( both which we highly recommend) . This is a place that we will return to. Thank you Alice for being there for us but also giving us the peace we desired. See you soon .

If you need a break from the world this is the place for you. Secluded, beautiful, relaxing and just amazing. My wife and I stayed in Earth, having stayed in Air a few years ago. The accommodation was perfect from the champagne and local craft beers awaiting us on arrival to the freshly baked bread and the magnificent views of Mount Warning that greeted us each morning as we awoke in our warm, comfortable bed and the chorus of birds that said goodbye to the day every afternoon this was a perfect get away that allowed us to really reconnect as a couple and just spend time together. We will definitely be returning at some point in the future and I can't wait..

We had a 2 night stay at the water lodge for our 20th wedding anniversary. The accommodation and grounds were amazing. Unfortunately that was all that was good.||On the day of our anniversary the management had contractors cutting trees around our lodge. The peacefulness was bliss if you’d rather the noise of chainsaws over nature. The lodge has floor to ceiling windows in bedroom and shower for looking at the beautiful view, unfortunately also allows the contractors working no more than 20mtrs away to look straight in. We couldn’t use the the bedroom, bathroom, toilet or outdoor spa until they finished their days work. The next morning we were woken to the sound of a bobcat and truck spreading gravel on the driveway at 8.00am. ||Spoke to management and they apologised and said it shouldn’t have happened but there’s nothing they can do.||The total disrespect shown to guests, especially in these times when the tourism industry is struggling, is beyond belief. It takes more than nice accomodation and grounds to run a retreat and unfortunately the management has let us down greatly. Could not recommend to anyone. Don’t waste your money.
