Alexandra has to be the worst AIRBNB host I’ve ever dealt with. Stay away from winwood passage and definitely her. She runs plenty of apartments, doesn’t keep them clean, doesn’t care about her guests. The state of her apartments are absolutely terrible and if she thinks they are fine I’d HATE to see the house she lives in.

The room had amazing views. Excellent housekeeping, very clean. Was made very welcome. We also stayed in December and Helen and Paul were very accommodating, even though it was the Christmas period and they were attempting to enjoy their own festivities. We have stayed here a number of times over the last few years, and I have never felt so looked after at any hotel. We aim to keep coming as many times as we can! The only minor complaint was that as non smokers we had a smell of smoke coming from one of the units close by after being told it was a non smoking venue. I spoke to the managers about this, not to complain but just to make them aware. Overall 10 out of 10. Thanks Windward!

We had the pleasure of the Penthouse top floor level 9 unit 28 by far the best Accommodation we have all ever had. The Sunrises are worth waking up for and will stick with me for a while. ||We were a booking of 3couples, the Master bedroom, ensuite & balcony are Amazing just off the main lounge that is perfect for watching a family movie or spending quality family time after a Sunrise morning. ||Bathrooms are Super Spacious. |Loved the shower. |Kitchen and dinning area is a beautifully designed for families that flows to the outside table/balcony.||The 2nd bedroom divides into 2 bedrooms is ideal for a family of 4 including 2kids but we made it work for x2 couples, there is a balcony off this room that looks over to Glass house Mountains. Sunset is Incredible. It also overlooks Oaks Hotel where you see it includes a water park, mini golf, bouncing castle, large family pool. Must go there with kids.||We had 2 secure parking, the trolleys were great for luggage & a chute for waste / easy clean. ||Perfect location close to everything. |Kmart, Zarrafaras, Coles, Dan Murphy, Beach access.||I cant wait to book again 🙂

We stayed in Unit 15 on the fourth floor. Location was fantastic and the view from the lounge and bedroom was spectacular. The accommodation overall was great - comfortable bed, air conditioning, good access (fob and key), rubbish Shute on every floor.||The let downs were minor but worth noting when you’re paying for high quality accommodation. The oven door was broken so couldn’t use the oven; the 2 slice toaster is way past its use by date and should be replaced (given this is 2 bedroom accommodation, suggest replacing it with a 4 slice toaster); PLEASE sharpen the 2 cutting knives in the kitchen (they were so blunt they were unusable); provide enough toiletries for a 3 night stay. (the one small round piece of soap disappeared real fast).||We had a lovely stay in Caloundra and would highly recommend this accommodation.

So disappointed with the service at this place. Booked in for Christmas time, and had to cancel as family could not make it had had to isolate over Christmas while they closed all QLD and NSW boarders for COVID. Rang up to cancel, and they were So unaccommodating and rude. Completely different tune to the person I’d spoke to two days earlier to confirm the booking. I understand it’s a business, but they wouldn’t give us the deposit back and showed no empathy at all, were just rude about it, when we were obviously upset about having to cancel and not see family but stay locked down for Christmas. We asked about rebooking later and using the deposit as credit and they refused to give us anything is writing but to call up and they would remember us. When we called up a month later to book again using the ‘credit’ they pretended to not know anything about it, even though it was the exact guy we spoke to and gave him all the details. Again he was very rude and after much debate booked us into a room. A couple of hours later they called to say they had no rooms their last ones had been booked while we were on the phone. Don’t know about the actual accommodation itself, but if that’s the kind of customer service you provide id recommend thinking twice about supporting such a business. In a time when we should be banding together might be worth treating people a bit better, don’t care so much about one deposit, but the rudeness was what made us so disappointed. Especially as none of this was by choice and we were desperately trying to make things work.

My family and I have stayed here for the previous two years and were booked to stay here again in a few days time. Unfortunately (and ever so lucky!) I called to query recent correspondence received via phone advising that I had not booked my full 7 nights and instead had only booked 4. ||||During this phone call, I advised that I had booking confirmation of dates in an email and was confused as to how one of my bookings was now different dates. On further enquiry, I found out that both bookings dates had been largely altered (and not during the same date period - which makes a large multi-generation family holiday impossible!). Initially responses such as 'apartment sales' was flagged as a reason but when I queried if these apartments had been sold I was told no. I was then told it was likely due to technical issues. ||||I was advised that I had not received confirmation to which I forwarded my emails and queried why my emails stated 'booking confirmation' and 'confirmation of booking'. Absolutely pathetic customer service, no options to honour booked request and instead told 'well if this isn't convenient for you, there are a number of other families that will happily take your booking'.|||| For further contextual information, in our first year of booking they had swapped our room booking from penthouse to sub penthouse, at the same cost, and it was blamed on the owner who had only advised them on our day of arrival that they would be using their apartment and we were not able to stay in it. The second year went without issue but after this experience, I do not recommend and will never stay here again unless the caretakers change. ||||I have now booked with another accommodation provider that had brilliant customer service.

Windward Passage is located well and affords the opportunity for some magical views and photography. We only had a few days there and enjoyed the stay. The unit was a little dated, but big enough to cater for the five of us. Parking underneath is a bit tight and I am glad my other half could handle getting our SUV around tight corners. One good option for Golden Beach,

Windward Passage offers purpose built disability accommodation on two of its 9 levels. These apartments are spacious, well designed for wheelchair access and include appropriate equipment including personal hoists, slings in a range of sizes, commodes and sufficient rooms for family members and carers.
The swimming pool has ramp access and a suitable wheelchair is provided to get in and out of the water.
There is a double bedroom with an onsuite, a separate oversize bathroom/toilet, a third toilet and another double bedroom. Views are stunning and it is an easy walk to the seaside or the shops.
Staff are helpful, experienced and friendly. A great place to stay.
