Best dog friendly country stay ever!

We have been to Wild Duck Farm many times now and keep coming back because it’s unbeatable as a luxury dog friendly country stay.

The hosts Christine and Brian are wonderful, the location is beautiful with a luxury 1 bed cabin set far away from the owners house giving ultimate privacy and peace and quiet.

The accommodation has stunning fixtures and fittings, and well equipped with most things needed for a short or long stay with logburner and reverse cycle aircon. *Note there’s no full oven but there is a hob top and benchtop grills/hotplates.

Outside there’s a wooden deck with a beautiful stone bath and loungers and a fenced secure garden all around the cabin and firepit on those colder nights. Plus a huge HUGE securely fenced dog run/field to allow the furry family to run safely and meet the horses.

There’s also a dam and a little island with chairs and table on to watch the ducks from next to the cabin and lots of walks all around.

To say this cabin is truly dog friendly is an understatement! Bowls, leads, poo bags, blankets. They just love the deck to lie on and watch the nature from. Wild duck farm is just the perfect place for a relaxing break with your furry family.

Thanks Christine and Brian 🥰

We had a great time at the Wild Duck Farm. The fully enclosed dog area was fantastic. Our doggo had an awesome time running around and meeting the horses through the fence. The cabin has everything you need with some nice touches of fresh eggs and marshmallows for toasting on the fire. Our pup also thought it was great to play with the resident Golden Retriever Ringo! We will absolutely be returning. Only thing to note is no oven - but a great gas stove top.

Just home from our 2nd stay at Wild Duck and already booked for our 3rd. The cabin is perfect, beautifully presented and thoughtfully stocked with little extras. We think our 2 fur babies love coming here even more than we do! They were so excited to see Fire and Prince at the fence this visit they forgot to bark! Christine and Brian are wonderful hosts. This is a perfect treat.

Christine and Brian have created an entirely unique experience.
They have completely embraced the big dogs by creating a dog park private for the cabin guests, including wooden benches, tall fences with enforced mesh, plus natural fencing and gates around the whole property so my big boy could wander around unencumbered and I never worried about an unintentional escape. A huge plus were the tiles throughout the cabin floor which was non-slip for my 13yo, 41kg lab. Their horses and personal dogs were gorgeous and super friendly. Our getaway was perfectly relaxing and provided all the creature comforts and more. I will definitely be booking again for Snoopys's 14th.

From the moment you turn into the long driveway, you start to feel more at peace. There are so many gorgeous things to admire: trees, flowers, creeks, horses, cows ... so much natural beauty. I've stayed twice now at this magical place and always leave rested and recharged. The Cabin is the best I've stayed at. It's sparkling clean, sumptuous and welcoming. The delightful owners have thought of everything. I can't wait to go back again!

Our 10th wedding anniversary needed a nice romantic place to celebrate. The Wild Duck Farm ticked all the boxes, particularly the 'Cabin'. Our hosts were hospitable and once they introduced the amenities available, were quite discrete and left us to ourselves. The accommodation was comfortable and the surrounding area made for great ambience. Photos on the website amplify the experience you will enjoy. I highly recommended.

A truly relaxing, enjoyable and friendly experience - enhanced by our Border Collie and Siberian Husky being able to join us.
Christine couldn't have been more welcoming from the time we first rang to book an overnight stay, to the time we said farewell to return home.
There was a lovely welcoming cheese plate, breakfast supplies and cozy accommodation surrounded by enclosed deck and courtyard - just right for our furry friends.
We were free to roam the beautiful property and fraternise with horses, cattle, chickens and their 2 beautiful Golden Retrievers.
Christine and Brian were very warm and gracious hosts ensuring we wanted for nothing.
Our stay was the most relaxing and enjoyable experience we have had for a long time. The accommodation was beautifully designed and decorated and so comfortable. Thankyou.
