A lovely place to stay. With the best view in town from the great little deck out the front. Richard and Janette are fantastic hosts, bubbly & friendly.
The Walhalla cabin was delightful and very well appointed with all the comforts of home. A brilliant warm shower came in handy on the colder wetter days. After feeding the native birds including a cheeky Kookaburra or two. The breakfasts were amazing, perfect poached eggs and fantastic pancakes. Richard and Janette had all the local knowledge for things to do and places to see. Weโ€™ll definitely be back.

The hosts, Janette and Richard know what they are doing. They were very resourceful and friendly, and told us a lot about history of Walhalla. We enjoyed chatting with Richard during breakfast as well as looking at his collections. The ceramic decorations made by Janette looked amazing. This is a 5 star B&B, cosy and warm, with the best view we could get in Walhalla. Totally recommend it and certainly will be our place to stay if we come back.

We had a wonderful two day stay at Wild Cherry B&B. Our hosts Richard and Janette are very knowledgeable on Walhalla and are quick to help you plan your days. Nothing was too much trouble. The breakfasts are superb. We would definitely recommend a stay here.

It was a great experience staying at Wild Cherry B&B. The view was the best, here you don't have to look up to see birds, you should look down! It's got the best view over beautiful Walhalla. The sky at night is amazing too! We could see the southern cross and Jupiter here! The best part was the friendly hosts! It was great meeting Richard and we enjoyed his hospitality and great stories he shared with us. In morning you'll see lots of Kookaburras lining up for breakfast and you can feed them too. Few things to remember:
. There is no mobile network coverage here
. It's on top of a hill and the track to go down is quite a steep one.
. No fuel in Walhalla and surrounding areas
Overall, an amazing experience!

Janette and Richard ensured that we were warm and comfortable in our cosy room for two. They were extremely knowledgeable about Walhalla and surrounds. We enjoyed their interaction with us as they served us our delightful breakfast in their loungeroom overlooking the main street of Walhalla down below. Every detail of our experience at Wild Cherry was lovingly thought out and delivered. A very memorable time had.Thank you Janette and Richard. We hope to return again soon.

Lovely location overlooking the Walhalla township with a walking trail literally across the road. You'll be served a delicious and hearty breakfast in the morning accompanied by the best view in town. Richard and Janet are very knowledgeable of the extended local area and are lovely to have a chat with but will also respect your privacy. Be aware the two rooms available share a common wall which is usually fine but you might hear the neighbouring rooms tv if they have the volume up. Overall a clean, cosy room with a pair of great hosts and a great base to explore Walhalla from.

Pleasant accommodation, but definitely on the small side. We were fortunate no one had booked the adjoining bedroom as I suspect the rooms are not sound proofed. The bathroom is well appointed but tiny. We ran out of hot water on the second morning and was told it was our fault as we must have used too much water - wrong answer! Not impressed as we didnโ€™t have long showers and it seemed the hot water service was not suited to the job. The bedroom was clean and heater worked well but there is no room to store your luggage without tripping over it. The bed is not overly comfortable and Iโ€™d suggest you bring your own pillows. Definitely bring your own hairdryer, the one in the cupboard needs replacing and smells like itโ€™s about to catch fire. |The hosts are very nice and happy to chat. Breakfast was okay but if you have food allergies ensure you phone to confirm they have checked your requests. Our booking stated gluten free options were needed for breakfast and when this was raised, again we were told this would have been catered for if we had requested it - wrong answer again! We did write it in our booking and then could not have a full breakfast. No apology or discount was offered. Disappointing. |The view from this property is lovely as it is set high on the hill. The road in is single lane, so beware.

Walhalla Wild Cherry accommodation has many positives, main points being the Wild Cherry hosts Richard & Janette Henry are lovely people providing us with their outstanding hospitality. The accommodation was extremely clean, modern and very comfortable. The accommodation is self contained with bathroom and shower facilities and has both air conditioning and heating if required and a bar fridge with tea & coffee making facilities and vehicle parking at your front door. A lovely home cooked breakfast is provided by the hosts in the dinning room or can be taken out on the balcony which provides you with a magnificent view.
