Wanted a well priced motel for a two night stay that was central location, close to where I was going for the day and most of the night. Old school motor inn with free off street parking, staff were friendly. Bus stop at front of motel, train station was a easy walk down the road and some cafes, shops and leagues club close by also. Room was clean, everything worked. Bed wasn't overly soft but I wasn't in it long and at that time of night didn't care. Thought there may have been some traffic noise but didn't hear a thing. Shower was small but great water pressure. A/C, fridge and kettle with tea and coffee were handy. Good budget option, for a 3 star motel it was great.

We stayed here last night as we were going to a concert at the Bridge Hotel.
When we checked in we were given bottles of water because it was hot - nice touch.
The shower was beautiful and hot and my bed was as comfortable as
It’s on a main road but I was surprised it wasn’t that noisy I would stay here again ?

Our overnight stay was terrible..The bed was hard and lumpy and the room had no inviting air about it. The drinking cups long outdated, there were no glasses, It was noisy. The only decent thing was nice hot shower. The communication prior to stay was excellent.

It's like the motel I used to go to a lot when I lived in the US. The room layout is nice. A big fridge and a microwave in the room.

They give me box of chocolate, 2 bottles of water.

The stay at Westside motor in wasn’t great at all. Carpet was dirty and smells horrible. Bathroom corners filled with mould. PowerPoint switch up the wall totally dis functionally. Paid for 4 nights, had to self clean the room as room service only left couple plastic bags. Had to say this is the worst experience ever .

Another happy stay at West Side. Clean, comfortable, friendly, helpful staff and great location. The walk to the train station was manageable even for lazy old me, and the nearby 7/11 was handy for milk and snacks. Despite being in Room Two, near the road, neither myself nor my young son had any problems regarding traffic noise. It's a very good place to stay.

Great value. Area is a bit sketchy but the bus stop is right out front and Wests Ashfield Leagues Club is just down the street as well as a nice gas station. Rooms were clean enough and matress wasnt overly soft. A touch of road noise but nothing too bad. For a motel, I've seen much worse. Bathroom was a bit cramped but totally useable. TV worked fine and had a lot of channels, was just a bit small. Shout out to the super nice guy at the front desk who let my Father-In-Law park in the parking lot and lent me a charger adapter. I probably would stay here again, especially if the price goes down a touch.

Negative first: the room has an air con but there is no cool function (dry, heat, and auto settings only. Auto provided no cooling whatsoever). We stayed here on one of the hottest days so far (43 degrees) and the room stayed hot. I thought it may have just been too hot for the aircon to work efficiently, but we left it on while we went out. There was a cool change in the weather, but when we returned to the room, it was hotter inside than out. We had to sleep with the windows wide open which unfortunately then meant we could hear street noises and sirens all night.
The toilet in the bathroom was extremely close to the door and I hit the toilet roll holder every time I sat down.

Positives: Staff are friendly. The room was very clean and neat. There was a double and a single bed, both beds quite short, but still comfortable (though sometimes noisy when rolling over). The curtains worked well to block light and the windows do provide good airflow (when both bathroom window and main window are open). The showerhead, though a bit janky, had excellent water pressure and good temperature (for summer, anyway). The motel is only a short walk to Ashfield train station, and there is ample parking on site.
