We recently had our wedding reception with Waters Edge and it was absolutely beautiful. It truly was a perfect evening! When I booked, there were not many reviews but as other people have recently shared too, it is a lovely venue with amazing people.

Firstly, thank you to the whole team on the night. All the guests were well looked after, the food was delicious and the event ran so smoothly. For reference in the photos, we had the oak smoked salmon and Angus beef tagliata for entrée, for mains we had Cone Bay barramundi and slow cooked lamb shoulder and dessert was rose petal pavlova and panna cotta. Dietary requirements for our guests were handled so well by the team. We also had people letting us know when our meals were being put on the table so we didn’t miss a thing and were able to relax and talk to all our guests. Thank you for that extra attention to detail!

Special thanks to Kayla and Claudia for their quick and helpful replies to all my questions. Kayla made us feel so welcome when we first looked at the room and that friendly smile was there to greet me again when I dropped off place cards and table numbers.

We kept our decorations very simple and still, this venue looked amazing. Just a note to say thank you to our florist, Anna, (@flowers_by_forrest) for our stunning flowers shown in these photos. Between her gorgeous flowers and this lovely venue, we couldn't have had a more beautiful space to celebrate our wedding in. In these photos you can also see our amazing musician, Cassidy Mackie (@cotta). The crew helped us know where would be best for her to set up and Cassidy was incredible!

What a joy it is to say our wedding day at Waters Edge was absolutely perfect.

We had the challenge of planning our wedding across three different time-zones, and the team were incredibly helpful, flexible and accomodating from the start. Claudia, was so excellent in her communication, adapting to strange working hours with us to ensure we could meet to discuss everything properly.

Claudia, you are incredible, patient and gave us so much confidence about our day. We set specific budget goals and you and the team worked so hard to help keep us on track while still helping us realise everything we wanted out of the day.

We chose to stay at the Link Portside Apartments, which was perfect and I highly recommend. It made the preparations and arrivals super smooth.

The food was delicious, we especially loved the savoury mushroom churros! I would say, their entire cocktail food menu is a lot of fun, and very very tasty. Our grandparents loved the mini Yorkshire puddings & our international guests loved the Spicy Tostadas. The team kindly let us adapt a few things from pork to chicken which meant a lot for our guests. We were of course mindful about the portions of food since we weren't serving a full dinner & in the end there was MORE than plenty for everyone. Plus, we had the additional hurdles of pleasing food palettes from both Australian and Indian guests - Everyone really loved the food!

From the team on the day we'd like to personally thank the service manager Paul, who really went above and beyond with all of our guests (as well as us!) We've received so much positive feedback about you from our guests. Also, to the wonderful waitress Ebony, who personally sought our vegetarian & vegan guests to make sure they were well looked after. It was very appreciated!

Waters Edge was the perfect choice for our wedding reception, and we honestly couldn’t have been happier! The location was spot on—right at Portside Wharf with incredible views of the Brisbane River that made our day feel extra special. We kicked things off with a sunset cocktail hour on the big balcony, and it was just magic—our guests loved it as much as we did!

The reception was everything we dreamed of and more. A massive shout-out to Casey, who helped us plan every little detail and kept us on track to make sure the day went off without a hitch. On the night, Connor and his team were absolute legends, making sure our guests were well looked after and that everything ran smoothly. The setup of the venue was stunning—just beautiful and exactly how we pictured it.

From start to finish, the Waters Edge team went above and beyond to make our wedding day special. We’re so grateful for all their hard work and can’t thank them enough. If you’re looking for a gorgeous venue with top-notch service in Brisbane, I highly recommend Waters Edge!

I have had several events at this venue such as conferences, gala dinners, charity auctions and 1 day seminars... the service, food and price is always exceptional. The staff on the day of the event such as Jess and Aiden are very professional, helpful and nothing was too much trouble. We got comments from delegates on how good the conference food is – so fresh and healthy just what the doctor ordered. The process from contract to selections to final numbers and the day of the event is seamless team work. Thank you Waters Edge and Fresh collective - we will be back. Hayley - Events Executive BNE.

I come for a work conference. They serve 3 course meal on alternate drop. Entrees is chicken. Main is chicken again. (Strange arrangement) so I didn’t not really eat my main and the taste of the chicken is pretty much the same for both. So I end up not really eating and hungry hen I left.
