This is a really nice spot, especially out on the deck overlooking the sea and beach. We had calamari and chips and a dessert. Nice clean food. Staff and friendly and efficient. Great spot for an event.

We enjoyed a delicious lunch here. The menu is seafood focused (as you’d expect) and the dishes we had were excellent value for money, fresh, tasty, and well presented. The drinks were also not over priced. A real gem of a location with stunning coastal views. We must give a shout out to the lovely staff who were super friendly, efficient and nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely go there again. Thank you for a lovely afternoon.

Great venue for functions to leave guests with everlasting memories. Water views are spectacular 👌
Would suggest the same waitress for a table as some requests were not filled.
Apart from that, staff were happy and efficient.
Grilled Barra was a tad dry. Just a tad.
Will keep going back.

We had an absolutely lovely family lunch, thank you. I had the Waterfront Seafood Fettuccine, and every element of that meal was perfect. The prawns, the calamari, and every other piece of seafood was done exactly as it should be. The service was a little slow, but we arrived early, and it was during the Christmas break, so they may have been short staffed.

On 1 March 2025, my daughter had her wedding at the Waterfront Restaurant. Natalie, the Restaurant’s Wedding Planner had her work cut out for her as the ceremony was scheduled for outdoors at Upper Dayman Park headland with adverse weather conditions as there was a cyclone off the Queensland coast. Natalie had arranged alternative locations and had to make last minute decisions for the setup of the ceremony.

The weather also meant changes to the reception which again Natalie organised and the guests were totally unaware of what was going on behind the scenes. The decor was absolutely beautiful and the food was excellent. She also provided a separate menu for the children.

I would highly recommend the Waterfront Restaurant for functions and also for the breakfasts, morning teas and lunches that they serve.

Many thanks to Natalie and her team for giving my daughter her dream wedding.

Loved my lunch, had the seafood platter for two which contained the best cooked bugs we have ever had.
Watching the tide come in was spectacular and despite there being a very cool breeze the wonderful blankets wrapped around our shoulders made us cosy and still free to sit outside and look out at the spectacular view.

We had an absolutely delicious meal for lunch yesterday. Service was great, very friendly and food and drinks very reasonably priced. We sat on the balcony so the view was great. Highly recommend this restaurant
