Beautiful location. The most scenic spots are the unpowered sites. But they are all good. Great walks and bike riding trails. Plenty of places to have a picnic or BBQ. Shops are near by, I can recommend the fish and chip shop. Best battered fish I've ever had. RSL good location on a Sunday afternoon ? ?

We have our own van and stay at the park regularly. It is a beautiful park right on the point at Wangi. It's close to the shops and eateries. The grounds are well set out with gardens, fire pits, BBQ area and playground for the kids. There's also a jetty. Huge trees offer shade. Jo and Matt are friendly and knowledgeable on the area. It's a fantastic place to stay.

What a delightful place on the beautiful lake! The manager was very welcoming and helpful. Some tight spots to park a caravan but next time we’ll ask for easier access. Views from all sights. Beautiful bush walk from the park.

Loved the location (we are locals) but the management in the office were extremely rude, and for the price the facilities are outdated and are timed and have set temperatures. We originally booked a non-powered for three nights, at $40 per night (only an additional $6/night for a powered site, however our car has a battery system that we used to keep us going for the duration of the stay), we decided to stay longer. Upon going in to pay, she very rudely accused us of speeding the previous night when she heard a V8 and she thought as we had one it was us, though there were numerous others (we hadn’t even driven our car the previous day). When I explained this to her, she was very rude annd abrupt. The next issue we had was I had extended a further two nights and paid one night on card and the second in cash. On what we hoped was our last day, wanting to extend one more night, we had quickly used a power lead to a caravan site just behind us to charge my laptop so when we returned from school drop off I’d have a charged laptop so I could work (I didn’t want to take it over to the camp kitchen and leave my laptop there). The lead ran right next to a car, and we’d spoken with the people on that site. On our way back, we had an extremely rude phone call advising we were to vacate the site immediately as we were using power and the ground men could have died as he didn’t see it to the last minute whilst mowing. Although I totally understand, we made sure the lead was close to other vehicles, it was bright orange and had been on for max half an hour. We were evicted from the site, and she was EXTREMELY rude over the phone and wouldn’t allow us to explain. She said we were on a non powered site and we were not permitted to use any electricity (although it was an additional $6 per day), and I would have used the same amount of electricity in the camp kitchen. Upon hanging up, I listened to a voicemail where she said the grounds man had noticed it before he had started mowing, so she lied on the phone. She also double charged us, without prior consent, for a night we had already paid for (refunded when we told her this, she did fight back but we had receipts to prove it). The matter could have been handled much much better than it was, and had we had a nice discussion, we would have stayed longer and left with the intent to return. Very disappointing, from someone who has worked in a customer facing role, that we were treated the way we were and things were handled the way they were. We were intending to book an extended stay once we moved from our home until we left for our travels around Aus; but we won’t be returning again.

What a beautiful spot topped off by awesome staff. We only stayed two nights but we will be back. It is a peaceful park with lots of birdlife to take in. Our RV was across from the lake and had fantastic views. The lady at the desk was very accomodating and pleasant and helped us with every request we made. We had a few issues in the stay that were our fault but she willingly helped with solutions. Relaxing with that view easy. Facilities were very clean and adequate. Thanks for a great few days.

I parked my caravan for less than 1 week, until a girl was screaming at the top of her lungs like she was being injured. I spoke with the lady in the morning & she was rude & I told her someone tampered with my caravan and she became even ruder. The lady then made a mark on my name & now I'm NOT allowed in any caravan park under lake Macquarie.
I literally live in the gutter and I hope and pray I'm not attacked or worse.
The lady has given me a lifetime ban and my complaint disregarded.
I hope I don't become another statistic in Australia because I made a complaint and the lady is on a power trip playing god who can stay in a caravan park and who can live in the gutter.

What a beautiful, beautiful spot! A couple of metres from the water's edge lays this practical though a little dated caravan and camping park. Toilets have been renovated and look and function well. Boat ramp just metres away. Peaceful location. Happy customers.

Great location with powered pitches only metres from Lake Maquarie. Facilities very nice with timed and pre set temperature showers. Courtesy bus to the RSL club available with a $2 per person return fee. Very quiet at night ?. Sites have communal fire pits which is nice and the Possums come out at night to say hello! ?. Only downside for us was the price of $60 per night which is a bit pricey.
