Great cafe' with fantastic coffee and great food ( cakes and burgers presented with pride) vegetarian options are good too. Friendly staff in a wonderful setting looking over Wamberal beach. The children were given pencil and paper to draw - nice touch 🙂 and we were welcome with fresh water to drink. Function place to hire seems roomy with amazing views. It has a lift for prams and walkers. Great place to take the family for lunch. Clean and tidy with your typical Australian feel. Love it. Carpark is right next to the cafe' and the Wamberal Surf Life Saving Club.

An AMAZING venue for a Party! Last Saturday we held an 80th Birthday at the Wamberal Ocean View Cafe and we could not be happier with how the function went!

Nothing was too much trouble for Omer and his fantastic staff! The food was fresh, tasty and came out quickly with more then enough food for all the guests, such great serving sizes we couldn't eat it all but tried our best as it all tasted so good.

A special shout out to Sarah and her incredibly hard working wait staff, our wine glasses were never empty and our plates were always full. Even though she was flat out she made every person in that room feel like they were the only person in that room and her top priority, a true asset to the Ocean View Cafe! I would like to thank the other staff but those are the only two names I know.

Thank you again Omer for making this event unforgettable! Can not recommend this venue enough for any future functions, WE WILL BE BACK for sure!

The food was great coffee amazing and views stunning. But the online booking and messaging system for replies to a booking is absolutely none existent. I had to call to see if they had our booking and they had no idea we even booked. Then at 3pm after our breakfast booking a got a text saying out booking was confirmed.
Moral to story - call and do not rely on there computer booking system.

Wamberal Ocean View Cafe and Functions had the most amazing view. We had celebrated our daughter’s first birthday there and we are very satisfied with food and service. The quality and quantity is great. Definitely recommend this place for any big celebration. 5 stars ⭐️

The food took too long, and when it came the chips with the squid were cold. They were replaced promptly. The Thai beef salad ($20) was actually a pile of western-style green salad, had no dressing, contained almonds which are not Thai, and the beef quantity was measly. By that point I couldn’t be bothered to complain again. Really disappointing. On the plus side, the waitress was pleasant throughout.

A friend and I ordered an Ice Latte and a juice and we waited 25 minutes and it still wasn’t ready. I than asked and they quickly made the Ice Latte and it was disgusting. Sally disappointing. The cafe also appeared to be cluttered and dirty (the toilets are always dirty) with the wait staff having no idea what they were doing. For such a prime position and location this business this cafe should be thriving. I have lived in Wamberal for over 30 years and I would say say under the current management I would never go here again (I know a lot of the locals feel this way too).

6 adults and 4 children - Arrived at 11.00am. When we started ordering we were told we could only order from either page 2 (breakfast menu - up to 11.30am) or page 3 - lunch menu. But we could not mix an order from both pages... Why? Because the chef wanted to either finish breakfast or start lunch. (But we could get waffles for the kids, as he just needs to put them in the toaster - so not too much work for him - phew).
I thought staff would cater to the customers not the other way round. But we ordered from the lunch menu anyway. Portions were very large and and basically an assortment of simple deep fried offerings.

I have never reviewed a cafe before but after my experience today I feel it is called for. We had a table for three booked for breakfast and waited 40 minutes with no service before deciding to leave. There were three obviously inexperienced young waitresses working who were hopeless at reading what was going on around them. On leaving I asked to speak with the manager and politely expressed my disappointment at the service. What has prompted me to write this review is the total disregard for the situation from this woman. She could barely give me her attention and it was clear she had no regard whatsoever for the customer. Ended up going to a wonderful little cafe in Terrigal with prompt service, friendly happy staff with a great attitude and beaut food. What a welcome difference! Dont bother with this place, go somewhere where they care.
