My favourite place in the world.

It has everything you need, surrounded by nature in an incomparable setting, the waves are wonderful.

It was beautiful to wake up to the sound of birds and rest in its peaceful garden, lunch and dinner on its balcony taste different.

At the end of the day cooking what that we had fished in the heat of the bonfire was a gift.

During the entire stay we disconnected from the mobile and we can't wait to return.

We did not stay as we were just passing and saw this lovely bush cafe. So we stopped for a bite to eat and a drink. The staff were very helpful and made a special cold berry juice for me and my husband had a lovely coffee. I had the home made quiche and fresh salad which was so fresh i think it may have been from their kitchen garden. The toilets for the cafe were light airy clean and fully stocked. Even a vase of flowers !

I almost want to keep this place a secret and keep it all to myself!||We travelled as 2 couples and stayed in the 2 studios, which are back-to-back with a wrap around deck outside. It was just perfect for us. The rooms are really large and tastefully furnished in a rustic/beach vibe. The bathrooms are modern and clean (and there is also a tiny, almost cupboard-sized room with bunks which would be suitable for young children but not adults). The studios are located at the front of the property and closest to the private walkway across the road and down to the beach. The studios are also close to the cafe which is open at weekends for wood fired pizzas (yum) and there is a kitchen at the back of this for use with microwave etc.||On the verandah around the studios there's also a BBQ. Best of all there are a couple of hammocks on the verandah; what could be better - feet up, a glass of whatever, bush, birds & kangaroos around you, and the sound of the surf behind it all. We'll definitely be back.||(One negative - the studios are also very close to the (bunk?) house and I imagine if there are a few people staying there it could be noisy. Something to consider at peak times?)

We stayed in the Kingfisher house and it was lovely. The fire pit out the back was a nice touch, as was the hammock on the front deck. Only 15 minutes from Crescent Head, so close, but not too close, to town. We really enjoyed our stay there. The manager, Jane, was very helpful and welcoming.||||A great place to stay.||||NB: Out of mobile range and no internet in the house. Drive 3 minutes back towards town and you get a signal on the headland, so no big deal - quite nice to be able to opt-out and still be able to easily go and check emails and phones if need be.||||NB2: Had a TV and DVD played but we did not use them. HiFi has radio and CD but does not have a USB port, or iPhone socket or even an aux-in, so bring your own music player if you want music, in Kingfisher at least.||||NB3: No air conditioning but fans everywhere and lots of windows that open with fly screens - very back to nature but in a lovely, thoughtful way. A great place for a digital detox! 😉

My partner and I were camping at Delicate Knobby Summer 2019 and heard great things about the Bush Cafe and were told it was a must while in the area . It was a nice change from cooking for a night and cleaning in the campsite, but two pizzas, a garlic pizza and byo charge for the wine per head, cost in excess of $55. Wouldn't of mind the cost as much if the pizzas were of substance but they were very basic, really thin crust and minimal toppings. I get the whole 'minimal, classic italian vibe' but we were hungry after but weren't going to spend another $25 on another meagre offering.||||We did go back for breakfast on our last day which was nice but also costly for what was served, on paper plates and those useless 'wooden' knives and forks which do nothing and are actually more produced and bad for the environment and end up as landfill or burnt into the atmosphere - for the 'restaurant' prices they charge, I would think a ceramic plate and proper knife and fork wouldn't be too out of the question, or maybe they don't want to wash up!

We have been going to Wallum with 8 families every year, for the last 8 years. It is sooo good. Jane and Fred are amazing hosts. Beautiful location close to multiple beaches, good surfing, bush walks and nature. Technology free zone: happy free roaming kids. Thanks Jane and Fred.

Probably a 4.5 - we had a four night stay in the Eastern Rosella Studio Peaceful, calm, tranquil - well appointed - clean room and comfy bed squeaked a bit - good kitchen facilities (stand alone - not shared). Internal and external shower, private track to the beach. Saw a Koala, it magically appeared on the first morning then was gone which given the rest of the reviews makes me wonder if Luke relocates it when people move in 🙂
Only disappointment was that we had to air the unit on arrival as it had been fumigated. I understand that some people don't like wildlife in their beds but to wake in the morning and find a Huntsman curled up on the floor in obvious distress was unpleasant. The room was littered with dead insects.
On a positive note, the bug spray didn't last and on the last day a beautiful Huntsman was perched over the bathroom door. If you want to remove the insects, leave the spiders!!

Literally made an account just to write this. Ate 2 pizzas from here minutes ago. $47 ($1 eftpos surcharge), high hopes, ingredients from the garden, ‘stonemilled whole wheat flour’, great looking pizza oven. ||Came out served in half a recycled pizza box. Base was thin, flaky and tasteless as a 10 cent pita bread. Counted 2 pieces of mozzarella, 6 slices of zucchini, 11 slices of cherry tomato, a handful of supermarket kalamatas and a small pile of bland garden rocket across two pizzas. Runny pesto base that made the whole thing soggy. ||How they can justify taking people’s hard earned at such a steep margin and deliver backpacker quality is astonishing. Would pay $8-$10 not $22+. ||Missed opportunity - where’s the Mama Mia love and generosity!?||||TL;DR - stooging holiday makers with this money grubbing cheap quality pizza fraud - do not visit.
