You will fall in love with this place and may never want to leave. Yes the accommodation is first class. Yes the evenings round the campfire after cooking in the fantastic kitchen or camp oven create friendships and memories you will treasure. Yes it's a great base to visit Carnarvon Gorge or Lake Nuga Nuga. The real star though is the land and everything living on it. Pauline, Justin and family are not just working this land (listening in to the two way chatter is a wonderful reminder) they are stewards of it. You feel and end up sharing their love of the place. The respect for those who came before them, both recent arrivals to this land and the very first people to walk it is clear. It is stunningly beautiful and teeming with incredible flora and fauna. Majestic sandstone country, Macrozamia Palms (cycads) so old they change your sense of time, and trees teeming with birdlife. Kids will love it. Those without kids will love it. This is top class accommodation in a stellar setting run by wonderful people.

Georgous glamping accommodation, very comfortable bed, lovely linen|The camp kitchen has absolutely everything you need including nespresso pod machine. |Outdoor set-up has open fireplace with lots of seating and another kitchen and more undercover BBQ areas with lovely seating.|Our host Pauline gave us a cooking lesson using the camp oven which was really good, made us a lovely dinner.|You can also make a yummy damper.|A lot of thought has gone into the planning of Wallaroo to make it a truly relaxing and wonderful experience. |We stayed here while we explored the magnificent Carnarvon Gorge which is a very scenic drive from the retreat. There is also a food truck at a rest stop about 5klm up the road, after a hot day walking in the gorge the lovely lady in the food truck made us a very refreshing vanilla ice cream with choc topping!|I would rate the whole experience at Wallaroo 10/10.|

Amazing stay at Wallaroo Outback retreat. We spent the whole time exploring the gorge and doing some yummy campfire cooking. Justin and Pauline really look after you and are happy to share the amazing history of Arcadia Valley. Photos do not do this amazing place justice, it is one of the most beautiful places on earth. Will definitely be back.

My family and friends visited Wallaroo and regret not booking longer! Our boys ages 9-14 loved all of what Wallaroo offers. Out door time, walking tracks, yabbie collecting, whip cracking and lighting the evening fire. |The accommodation was outstanding and clean and very comfortable beds. |Wallaroo has thought of everything! We didn’t need to bring anything but our food. |Pauline was a fantastic host and helped out a fellow female when in need! ||We will be back!

Glamping at its finest. Wallaroo Outback Retreat is tucked away in the Arcadia Valley about a 45 minute drive from Carnarvon Gorge. Our family tent was spacious and luxurious. On a cold night it was great to jump into bed and surround yourself with soft dooners. We had our own private ensuite. The surrounds were landscaped and manicured with a variety of places to sit and relax. The facilities included everything you needed in a camp kitchen or outdoor cooking. Just bring your own food and drinks and sit back and relax around the fire and get to know the other guests. Our only regret was that we didn’t have more time to lay around and enjoy these beautiful surroundings.

We had a wonderful time at Wallaroo Outback Retreat over Easter even though Carnarvon Gorge was closed because of the rain. The rooms (tents) are very comfortable and luxurious, and the communal areas have everything you would need including a coffee machine! It was lovely sitting around the camp fire chatting with other guests and the managers. We tried out camp oven cooking successfully, walked around the property seeing lots of animals and birds. The countryside where the retreat is located is quite spectacular as well.

Wallaroo Outback Retreat is special! We recently visited with our two young children and the luxury tents, private bathrooms and very well appointed kitchen and facilities absolutely impressed. The grounds are meticulously maintained but also merge beautifully with the natural surroundings. The owner and managers went out of their way to accommodate our every request and we felt incredibly welcome. There are some beautiful walks on the property, and room to enjoy time to yourself as well as with others, should you wish. Wallaroo Outback Retreat is absolutely worth a visit. Thank you so much and we will be back!

We had a great stay at Wallaroo Outback Retreat recently. The rooms are very comfortable and beautifully presented. There are lots of communal areas that are lovely places to sit and relax and catch up with friends and/or family. The kitchen is very well equipped and has a great coffee machine. The managers and owners are very friendly and certainly do their best to ensure that you have a great time!
