Absolutely stunning, a wonderful little spot that feels super cozy yet grand & magnificent surrounded by big beautiful trees. There's no motorized anything around there, so it's nice & quiet. Family friendly, safe & a good vibe in general.
Just make sure to secure your snacks from the bush turkeys, they're bold!😂😂😂

Great spot for a day trip. Would highly recommend taking chairs as it’s an uncomfortable place to sit without them, but the water is clean, the setting stunning and the walking trails are wonderful. Parking can be busy, but we didn’t wait long to find a spot.

Easy hike for a normal day.
The lake is just beautiful and you can hear a lot of birds.
We also saw some lizards and turtles.
I expected the reserve for the animals were bigger.
We just saw the platypus, we never see the wombats or other animals.

it's so much fun to be here.. we can see some native animals from australia, and enjoy the lake. you can also swim and relax there. there's a restaurant too. a cool place to spend the weekend with family

Great place to chill on weekends.
It’s got a beautiful lake, and kayaking was so much fun!!

Also paid and went to the animal centre, wasn’t much animals to see as expected, but we loved the platypus.

Would definitely recommend this place to anyone who loves nature.

Things to know about this place:

The centre has a Cafe, toilets and section you need to pay for to enter to see the animals in their protected enclosures.

If you fancy a swim, you go here and follow the track to waters edge.

There is no public facilities at Waters edge, picnic tables or BBQs. Also the ground is sloped so not ideal for a picnic.
