The Mill House cottage is a perfect quiet getaway. Charming with a wonderful veranda with great views. Friendly and helpful owner. Everything you need in the house for a great stay. Most relaxing 2 nights stay. Walhalla is a quiet and inviting place. ||Easy walk to tiny village and pub. The train is a great experience, and food at Wallys pub is delicious big meals and great value. Good bushwalking, walk up to the cricket pitch a must. Also Witchery Cafe has delicious home baked cakes.

For a small establishment inundated with a large group of people they did very well to provide excellent two-course meals. Thank you. It helped that we had a set menu, fish or chicken, but both those dishes were very tasty and well presented. Delicious meringue and passion fruit treat for seconds. Add a few wines and we were well satisfied. What a pretty little township, full of gold mining history.

We booked a table for both Saturday and Sunday nights of a long weekend and were glad that we did, it was very busy. The hotel dining room is quite small but to be expected in a small town. The service was absolutely fantastic - welcoming smiles, orders were taken quickly and the wait time for food was not long considering the amount of meals being served! All our meals were delicious, large sized and reasonably priced. We definitely will be revisiting this hotel in future. Many thanks to all the staff.

This cottage is perfect for a romantic getaway. It is rustic, but that adds to it's charm. It's tiny,warm and comfortable,with the sights and sounds of history and nature in all directions.It's a fantastic place to stay to escape the distractions of modern life and reconnect with your loved one. No TV or internet, but a cosy fire to encourage great conversation. Wahalla is a fascinating place. The train is a must, and food at the Wally pub ( not open Tuesdays) is delicious and great value. Some gorgeous bushwalks too.

I was at Walhalla for the weekend and had booked the “The Wally Pub” for dinner. How glad am I that I did. Atmosphere was fantastic with a blend of locals and guests. A small bar in the corner were you place your order and get a pot of local brew. The space was warmed by a wood heater and the footy was on the tv. The menu was quite extensive which surprised me, and the meals were huge. At our table we had the Wally burger, a Rib eye, T-Bone, and a chicken parmigiana. All meals were cooked perfectly and the produce was local and fresh.|Do yourself a favor and stop in for a meal and a pot.|It is a bloody ripper.👍👌

The Wally Pub has great counter meals. We went on a long weekend and glad we booked a table. The pub has great atmosphere and feels like a real country pub. The meals are reasonably priced and large. Make sure you go in hungry.

We have been to the wally pub a few times and each time we have been very impressed with the meals, friendly service and atmosphere.| This time I was with a bus group of 30 and there was not one person In the group with any complaints about the meals. (apart from the fact they could not eat it all because it was such a big meal).| I had the parma, chips and salad, others had steak burgers, fish, pasta, as well as other choices and all were very happy.| The meals were served without much wait even for a large group and all were fresh and hot.| I love the Wally Pub, in fact it's one of our favourite places Victoria.|

Spent three wonderful days at Walhalla staying at Stringers Cottage. A serenity environment in a historic town. The cottage of 2 rooms was a step back to the comforts of a bygone era. Peaceful time to relax and enjoy life without all of today's "must need gadgets" Parked the car and walked every where within the town.Walhalla is worth the visit and the locals only too happy to pass on some history. Stringer's Cottage is for anyone wanting to get away from hustle and bustle and retreat in to the serenity the town has to offer. Will gladly recommend and return.
