Voyager Motel - Minchinbury, New South Wales

I am a domestic violence and sexual crimes victim sent here by the Australian government for my safety.

I was attempting to shower this morning with the door open (I have PTSD and cannot be in enclosed spaces due to the amount of violence I’ve experienced in the community.

The local smoke detector (which is put directly outside of bathrooms by the moronic property developers) went off and the male property manager burst into the hotel room and began screaming at me aggressively and waving his hands like a lobotomised caveman.

This alarm did not notify the fire department, it was simply a local alarm.

He then proceeded to attempt to throw me out onto the street when I am severely at-risk.

I contacted police and, as I am not safe in this location due to the overly emotional MALE manager.

NSW Police are now having to transport me to a new location where I will be safe due to duty of care

All because this motel manager behaves hysterically over a poorly placed smoke detector.

The staff are really lovely when I very first stayed here. I was quite shocked how they got treated by a pet person the lady and the elder man who runs it I stuck up for them and I appreciate what they’ve done for me and put me up I just want to say a really massive thank you For what they’ve done they’ve had this motel for 28 years in Minchinbury and I cannot thank them enough. The beds are comfy. The shower is brilliant but me personally they shouldn’t get treated the way they do, and I don’t know why They get treated like that

Update... since i cannot respond to your reaponse ill just add to the original so its the first thing people see and i hope that, that is the only money your making is houso tax payers money because no normal person would treat customers the way you do and with the reviews ive seen your not to pleasent of person are you?. My sister is heavily tattooed and thats what this was about then and it showwws? My sister left a unsafe situation with her son in which she is entitled to supports and or the freedoms our grandparents faught for in the war, for our entire country in witch you live in, i myself not my sister initially asked staff for a fold out matress as some accommodations have, for my nephew so he had his own bed staff said no. so again thats fine i went n got a blow up matress, you and your staff refused fresh extra sheets to which anyone should be entitled to mate FREAH SHEETS.. and I made the review not my sister so noone threatened you with anything. After attending my sisters room to abuse her with a print out of my review you spoke with case worker at housing to refuse her stay that night, she had to leave there and then even though housing paid you, so you would have got the finds for the last night i don't doubt n happyily kicked my sister and her 4yr old on the street...
My sister and her son are having to stay here due to homelessness I've dropped them off and im having to come back to drop a air mattress off so my nephew can sleep on the floor because they refuse to provide another mattress for my nephew. They admit housing specified it is her and her son.
Appreciate she has a place to go and all but children should be provided there own bed especially during time of hardship where they don't have a home at all... my sister had also asked for sheets to put on the air mattress and this request was also refused along with a verbal suggestion from the owner that my sister is on drugs (for asking for sheets).
UPDATE.
Owner went to my sisters rooms with a print out of my review claiming it is false and kicked her and her 4 year old out so links to home paid for tonight n he still would not let my sister stay till the morning, so housing have placed her else where and I hope they never place families there again.
Regardless of how the room is paid customers should be entitled to fresh sheets and towels if asked.

The hotel part is very clean and tidy. The owner is very polite and friendly. Location is a bit of distance from shopping centre but close to 7-eleven and fruit market.

The room is provided with 2 both towels and biscuits. It has hair dryer provided. Plenty of parking. Laundry service is provided with $15 per load including drying and detergent, and they’ll look after your laundry.

Body wash and hand wash are a bit too watery. Otherwise, shouldn’t expect too much with this price. I think the value is worth what we’ve paid for.

Exceptionally clean !
My room faced the highway and despite the amount of morning traffic I didn't hear any traffic noise. Room has everything you would expect.
Staff were very helpful friendly and added to my stay being great.
I totally recommend this property and will certainly be back.

This is my second stay at the voyager motel, my boss booked the room for me on both stays,
I’m in Sydney for work,
The owner’s are a little bit rude and not welcoming to return customers,
When I checked in, owner was not happy because my boss booked with Expedia booking site,
My question is, if you don’t want this to happen why do you make your rooms available to booking site,
Don’t complain to a customer checking into your motel,
Rooms are nice,
I think I showed lots of patients to you and your wife, as me being a customer,
But unfortunately I will stay else where on my next work trip to Sydney,

The room was modern, tidy and clean. Staff were friendly. I was able to book a second night the following morning.
Unfortunately a couple of things made me think twice about staying again.
I asked for a face cloth and hand towel and was told that they do not provide those. They did offer me more towels.
I gave a cash bond upon check in and almost didn't get it back. I was told that it wasn't in their book. I had to insist and then even suggest that they check the camera to see me hand over the money but they eventually found it with a note in a drawer.
They also wanted to check the room before I left which I have never had to do before either.
These things just left a bitter tone to the whole experience.
