I have never bothered to write a review, however I really wanted to in this instance. Valhalla B&B was definitely a top 10! The gardens where absolutely stunning, loved watching the kookaburras coming for a feed. Jim and Merilyn where amazing hosts! Very informative and friendly, we felt comfortable and almost like friends, rather then paying customers! Breakfast was delicious. Jim is a magnificent cook and Merilyn sets the table so beautifully! Best B&B that we have ever been too!

Great B & B. Merilyn and Jim our hosts were most welcoming and friendly and the room was spacious and clean. The house is sumptuously furnished and is very conveniently located. Breakfast was excellent and served in a gorgeous dinning room.

You must experience it to believe just how spectacular Valhalla House is, and what beautiful people Merilyn and Jim are.||Firstly, I only heard of Walhalla a few years ago. It is a gem nestled hidden in the valley, and you'll feel as though you stepped back in time. You need a day to explore the village, and much longer if you intend to tread some of the hiking trails. It would be a lovely place to disconnect from reality for a few days.||Valhalla House itself, a masterpiece created by Merilyn and Jim. Photos simply don't do it justice. I was visiting with my Mum and we were just in awe. Everywhere you look there is something to be in love with! ||Our hosts, Merilyn and Jim, were just wonderful! We enjoyed a wine with Merilyn in the surrounds of the beautiful garden on a sunny afternoon, and Jim cooked the most delicious breakfast, you just won't believe it!||This is now one of my most favorite places to stay, ever and I hope to be back again when the 2025 winter snow melts to see the water really flowing!||Note, Wally pub is a great meal, we had lamb shanks and it was delicious 😋

Valhalla House is a fantastic spot for a relaxing stay in Walhalla. Hosts Jim and Merilyn are welcoming and friendly, and very knowledgeable about places to go while you are staying in the town. We could walk to all Walhalla attractions from this property. We felt like we were staying with family. The house and guest bedrooms are sumptuously furnished, with an inviting fire in the main living room, and facilities for tea/coffee/snacks all day in the conservatory. Jim's huge cooked-to-order hot breakfast set us up for the day. Cannot recommend this place highly enough. Thanks Jim and Merilyn for a great stay!

I can not speak highly of Valhalla House and the hosts Merilyn and Jim. From the minute you walk into their beautifully appointed periodic home with open fireplace and amazing decor (that Merilyn has done all by herself) you feel like you belong there. They make your stay so welcoming from their beautiful smiles and great advice and information. The room we stay in for 2 nights was stunning and the conservator was exceptionally fitted out with everything you need to make yourself a hot beverage or something light to snack on. The hot full breakfast our hosts cooked up for us was delicious and very well planned. Jim even thinks about pre-booking you a table at the local pub for dinner. We will definitely be staying at Valhalla house again. Merilyn and Jim made us feel like we belong and were part of their family ....... Oh I nearly forgot to mention that the outside garden/grounds of Valhalla House are just as impressive (and again all done by Merilyn). I take my hat off to the both of you at make Valhalla House an amazing BnB.

We stayed at Valhalla House for 1 night at the beginning of February. We received a very warm welcome from Jim and Merilyn . The house is amazing, really grand and comfortable with every attention to detail for guests. We were the only visitors and had a choice of the 3 rooms; it was so hard to choose as they were all beautiful.|Breakfast was perfect with a wide choice of cold items and beautifully cooked egg and bacon etc.|Our hosts couldn’t have been more warm and helpful and we would highly recommend a stay here.|I wish we had had longer!|

Valhalla House is a beautiful bed and breakfast. On a chilly afternoon we arrived to find a warm fire and an even warmer welcome from our hosts,Jim and Merilyn Hall.||||The decor is elegant,and breakfast in the dining room was delicious,and enough to set us up for the rest of the day.||||We were made to feel like friends rather than clients. Thank you Jim and Merilyn.
