Went to lunch at the bistro. Food was beyond amazing and huge portions. Staff were attentive, polite and cheerful. Special shout out to Darsey, who made sure our dining experience was first class. I recommend the tequila lime chicken wings, and the Barra. Hubby recommends the burgers. Thankyou guys we will be back!

As a visitor from interstate I would like to say the staff and management are a credit to this place.
The food was excellent. From the greeting when we first arrived to the end of the night. Booked for a meal and drinks after a wedding. The young lady who was the manager on duty was one of the happiest and friendliness staff I have come across. A credit to any business. Highly recommend a visit anytime for great service and lovely food.

"Staying at The Vale Hotel is like finding a gold nugget on a budget – affordable, clean, and those beds? Comfier than your nan’s couch! The staff are so friendly and welcoming you might mistake them for long-lost relatives (the kind you actually like).

As for The Vale Steakhouse, it’s a vibe. Great food, great atmosphere, and great company if you count the steak (it’s that good). Honestly, it’s worth the trip just for the food.

Whether you're a weary traveler or just escaping your own cooking, The Vale has you covered. Highly recommend!"

Brought my granddaughter and daughter out for tea while visiting from country Victoria. The service was amazing and both the floor staff and kitchen went out of their way to accommodate Miss 11 (fussy eater). Amazing parmigiana with avo and bacon yum yum. Old fashioned service, so nice. I'll be back.

Amazing service from AM Steph! Felt very welcomed walking in, first time here and I love the place!
Sports bar staff Alexis and Rick were so accommodating!

Made a decision to go somewhere different Saturday lunch while up in Townsville shopping, went to the Vale steakhouse. Wife ordered crumbed steak and I had the chicken parmy, she took one bite and left the rest as it was absolutely disgusting, the crumb was like one piece that you could literally peel off in one whole piece and maybe they should change their oil more frequent. The chicken which was just a plain schnity which seemed to have been cooked for quite some time had been brushed with a cheap sauce, a slice of leg ham laid over it and then some disgusting cheese sauce poured over it. I can honestly say I do not leave food on my plate but today was an exception, could only get through maybe a third of it and left the rest. Needless to say we will not be back anytime soon, I think we are spoilt in the Burdekin when it comes to pub food, maybe the cook/chef/whatever should go down for a visit and see what real food looks and taste like.

Came here for lunch today with a Friend and x3 kids, Terri on bar was absolutely wonderful and the food was amazing, lively portions and so tasty. It was our first time here but definitely not our last
