We visited this place two weeks ago with my husband after a friend invited us—and wow, what an experience! The moment we started heading there, it already felt like we were entering a different world. Surrounded by nature, the path leading in was peaceful and almost magical.

When we arrived, we found plenty of parking space. The restaurant is located on top of a small rise, accessible by stairs, but they also have a wheelchair-accessible ramp on the right side, which is great. The venue has various seating areas—outdoor tables, an event space, and the main restaurant itself.

We chose to sit inside the restaurant and were pleasantly surprised that they offered us a high chair for our son. Since it was a Sunday, the place was quite packed, with many people visiting the nearby falls or just enjoying the area. It's easy to see why—it’s a hidden gem that’s clearly loved by many.

They offer high tea (which I plan to try next time!) along with two hours of bottomless coffee and tea. While we were there, someone was celebrating a birthday in the event space, which is connected to the restaurant. The atmosphere was warm, happy, and peaceful all at once.

For food, my husband ordered the Big Gully—huge and perfect for sharing—while I had the Fish of the Day, a grilled yellowfin tuna. It was absolutely delicious, clearly prepared with care and love.

This spot is perfect for anything: a quick coffee before a hike at Mt. Lofty or the nearby waterfalls, a casual date, or even a special occasion. Highly recommended—an all-in-one experience you’ll want to return to.

Had such a lovely high tea celebrating my Mother’s birthday. Excellent communication via email when making the booking online and were very flexible with dietary requirements (vegetarian). All of the food was lovely and the service was fantastic. They even gave my mother a complementary jam for her birthday too! Definitely would recommend the experience to anyone wanting a luxury high tea!

We managed a bit of a quiet day. From the start service was excellent. Staff were very attentive and made sure we had enough to drink. The high tea was very delicious, most surprising as most places only give you 1 3 teer tray. The set up was done very nicely. I would definitely do ot again. There was nothing I didn't like.

We had a wonderful high tea at Utopia for our wedding anniversary yesterday, it was lovely. They even had a fresh bowl of water for our furbaby. The food was delicious, with great coffee and tea. The friendly staff made our time there comfortable. With the sound of the waterfall in the background it was very relaxing. We can't wait to go back to try their lunch menu. 5 stars for the experience ✨️

I had my first ever high tea here recently and quite enjoyed it. Fairly quiet on a weekday which made it nice and intimate. Staff were friendly and attentive. The high tea bites were delectable and I enjoyed every part. Found it unusual that espresso machine coffee wasn’t included in the price. Could include at least one per person

I celebrated my bridal shower on Saturday and had an absolutely beautiful high tea. The table setting with the sashes on the chairs were beautifully presented. We had very attentive service and the food savoury and sweet was delicious and both had a great variety of each. There was an abundance of good. The drinks, tea and coffee were great too. It made for a very memorable bridal shower and high tea and would highly recommend it to anyone.

We visited Utopia today for high tea to celebrate my birthday and experienced a beautiful 3 course high tea with bottomless tea and coffee.

The hostess/server Caragh was attentive and absolutely delightful.
The savoury and sweet dishes were beautifully prepared, presented and tasted incredibly delicious

Would definitely go back and recommend to others

Beautiful location for high tea. Waiter who looked after us was lovely and attentive. Only reason for 4 stars was felt like there was not quite enough savoury and a bit too much sweet. But all the food was delicious and I would definitely do high tea here again, it was very reasonably priced. Scones at the end were yummy, forgot to take a photo!
