Went for lunch around 12noon, we were seated promptly in the main are, though there was plenty of open seats we were not asked a preference of where we would like to sit.

The dining room is well laid out giving everyone their own space.

We were asked if we would like drinks on arrival, but waited about 15 minutes before our orders were taken.

Both the drinks and food came out quickly after ordering.

The Chicken Greek Salad was amazing and full of flavour and the fish was great as well. Both dishes were well presented and portion sizes are perfect for lunch.

The Elderflower Collins was pricey at $17.50, however it was a great cocktail which was delicious and well presented.

We were not asked how our food was, offered 2nd drinks or dessert menus.

Overall a good experience, and will definitely be back. This was my 3rd time visiting and I have had similar experiences in a large party and for breakfast.

The vegetarian burger was excellent. Halloumi and avocado, no stodgy veggie patty. Served with plenty of well seasoned chips. Not that healthy but a good hearty meal, reasonably priced. Service was fast and friendly.

This venue is absolutely beautiful and has the most attentive staff. The food was lovey and the coffee was perfect. I had the raisin toast with was much thicker than I expected. The cakes are beautifully presented. I look forward to returning to this cafe. If you found my review helpful, please give me a 👍

Apple crumble was horrible, an overpriced $12.50 for a overheated sliced quarter of an apple apple sprinkled with cinnamon and 1.5 teaspoons of crumbles. This dish will burn your tongue and leave you very sad and disappointed ☹️

Beef cheek on the other hand, was very well made. Missing a sauce though. I would add a blue cheese sauce 🤔

We had trekked around the city on a recent Saturday morning and we were hungry! Time for brunch, so we stopped in at Urban Grounds and we're so glad we did!
From the moment we walked in and noticed the beautiful art works on the walls, to our delicious meals which we enjoyed seated in the sun-drenched verandah ( perfect for a chilly Toowoomba winter morning), it was a top- class experience.

The food was delicious and the ambience even better. The beautiful historic old house is the perfect setting for a lazy weekend brunch, and the outstanding outdoor deck would be equally lovely, I imagine, for dinner on a summer evening. This is definitely worth putting on your list!
