Excellent place for fishing I went during high tide. First day. I saw many catch giant travelly .today my son-in-law was lucky enough to catch 8kg giant travelly.

Great public space. We walked out early evening and saw a beautiful sunset on our walk back. Some sections of the pier have uneven surfaces so take care when walking the kilometer plus there and back.

It's hard to review a pier, after all, you walk to one end and walk back again.
This is a very very long pier and seems very popular. There were heaps of people fishing from it. The water is quite clear and was very shallow when we were there.
There are no chairs along the way if you wanted to sit for a,bit, which is a shame.
At the beginning of the pier are a few gift shops and cafes, including an ice cream shop selling Maleny Dairies ice cream. I didn't even know Maleny Dairies did ice cream!
Another unusual store is the one that specialises in hats.
We were there on a Saturday and there were some markets on which were quite good.
There is a path from the pier that runs all the way along the coast for ages. There are several cafes, parks and playgrounds along the walk.
All in all, it's a pleasant way to spend an hour or two.

Great place to walk and visit, talking to the fishermen , not a lot of fish, some small herring and a 50cm flathead, need some ice cream vendors here though.

40ish years ago I walked this pier. So glad it hasn't changed.
Walked the sand bar at low tied too. Looks like you still can.

A great walk 880m both ways. It’s a little uneven more so in some places. Late afternoon is a great time to go, watching the sun go down. Lots of bird life enjoying the breeze. A few people fishing off the pier.

Everyone should go at noon because the water will recede, in the morning the water will be big and the waves strong. There is beautiful natural scenery.
