Clean and good value not good if you want quite as they have entertainment till 2am

Stayed in a share dorm was ok long term residents stay here . But not a back Packers . Paid for a single room with tv . Only after grabbing my money did I find out tv had no remote . Took me 10 mins to work out how to operate damn old thing they said we're organising a new remote . Lol just buy a new tv . Wow . Pick one up for under $300 Blanket was for a single bed not a double . You get a cake if soap .that's all . Then after was accused by the English lady operating it of smoking in the room . I never did . Rooms straight outside the smoking area. . And told couldn't rebook a dorm . I couldn't sleep all night in the single room tossing turning and now 2 nights later am only just been able to sleep . Think that room needs drug swabbed immediately as smelt like chemical . Will be seeing my doctor . Last customer complained of smell of smoke etc wonder if he's been able to sleep yet . Funny as the English receptionist needed him to complain . Obviously she didn't notice at all . If cleaned after me .. she seems to be a chain smoker . Cig hanging out her mouth 24/7 and outside room hole place stinks of weed . Think it's more a halfway house for long-term poor mental illness patients recovering . Seemed full of persons staying for months on end not so much a holiday backpackers .. cairns council needs to swab this place as same thing was going on in gold coast . Persons getting sick after holidays in hotels . Gold coast council stepped up swabbing the hotels and it was alarming all positive for ice usage . Places needed professionally cleaned and repainted . A gd thing for this halfway house . Not a backpackers at all
