A great local family run restaurant serving delicious meals 🏆

Can be very busy, so be prepared to book ahead. I read about potential patrons being turned away because the kitchen is at capacity - that’s a good sign, not something to whinge about. Always a risk with walk-ins

Plenty of off street parking with on street parking conveniently available in Hibiscus Street

Direct entry from street level with no stairs and plenty of space between tables

This venue is BYO and the owner & staff are very welcoming

Highly recommended to patrons who appreciate authentically prepared, delicious fresh food 😋

We had a wonderful night out. The food was delicious and fresh. The service was excellent with lovely friendly prompt meals. The spring rolls were beautiful. The Kung Pao Chicken was hotttttttt 🤣 if you love your hot chilli then it’s for you 😄 they even have a challenge if you’re keen. We will definitely be back again.

The owner is really lovely and gave toys to our toddler and made him feel welcome.

The food was delicious. There is normal food (curries & stir fries) as well as food for those after something less mainstream. The green papaya salad was amazing! But I wouldn't recommend the fried white fish (see photo). We coated them with chilli and lemon so it wasnt to 'fishy'.

Great little hidden gem, one street from the waters edge.
What it lacks with street appeal, it definitely makes up for with taste and freshness.
Service is friendly and efficient.
Meals are served quickly.
And everything tastes awesome.
Steamed dim-sims and fried whitebait for entree, Kung pao chicken and a noodle dish (I can't remember what it was called...lol), and sticky date pudding and banana -coconut pudding for desert.
All come recommend.
Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy.

After reading the great reviews we booked in for dinner on Friday night and weren’t disappointed. We ordered the mee wonton which was the table favourite, lots of noodles topped with tasty char sui pork and homemade wontons, the honey vinegar pork that was cooked to perfection and the chicken kung pao which had a delicious heat and numbing element. The owner was delightful explaining the origins of her dishes. The restaurant is byo - $2 per person. Great food highly recommend

Not for Asian palletes!!! Rude.. We visited this cafe after seeing its 4.5-star rating from over 200 customers, but I was incredibly disappointed. Firstly while ordering, a mid aged Asian lady came to take the order when i started ordering i also said can we also have date pudding, she abruptly took the menu from us and said “later” and walked off, that’s it. She was nicer to other customers obviously who were non-Asian probably locals there. Yes we are Asians and unfortunately that lady was Asian too so i am a bit surprised on her conduct.

The meal orders we made was Megoreng and Pork wontons. The Megoreng was drenched in an overly sweet, caramelized sauce, making it almost completely black from the excessive soy sauce. It didn’t even resemble the Megoreng I’ve had before. The wontons were served with plain boiled noodles and a a few pieces of meat—no soup, no flavor, just bland. We could barely eat the Megoreng and only nibbled on the dumplings and some of the meat to satisfy our hunger. It was so bad that we couldn’t finish it, even though we were starving. Honestly, the food seems more suited for non-Asian tastes who are not familiar with the actual flavour and ingredients. When we shared our feedback with the same lady at the counter, she responded by saying, “I wouldn’t have charged you if we’d ever received a complaint, but we never have.” She didn’t apologize and dismissed our concerns entirely. We ended up paying for a meal we barely touched. Never going back again. Wish i had taken photos but we just wanted to leave.

Best Asian food so far in Australia. Mixture of Chinese and Malaysian cuisine. Curries and pastes are home made. Everything freshly prepared. Just delicious as it is in Malaysia. Fully recommended!

The Laksa was disappointing. The soup was not particularly flavoursome now soupy. The entrees were really nice though.
