I’ve been going to 21 for over 35 years. And have had always a great experience there. The food is still the same. Nothing beats their chicken schnitzel. Now I have my children going and they love it as well. It was so nice to catch up with some friends and have a good old classic meal. The portions were amazing. The service was fantastic, yes it’s a little bit dated but value for money long lasting memories. Nothing beats that. Looking forward to now taking my grandchildren. I’m so happy that the restaurant still the same and the owners are the ones who originally started. Totally recommend to take some friends if you want to eat good old classic food. You should try the traditional Hungarian dishes. Thanks again for the great service and looking forward to seeing you again.

Had not been for some having left Sydney. Was along time regular. In the past the Schnitzel would melt in your mouth the breadcrumbs attached to the meat. The mashed potatoes creamy. Now the Schnitzel almost needed a steak knife to cut. The breadcrumbs separating in places. Taste was not too bad. Mashed potatoes vert watery. Rather sad to see this change.

First time at 21 Espresso and I was blown away by the meal I had from the Home Made part of the menu. Almost everyone else in our group had the best-looking schnitzel meals I've ever seen, but I had the Transylvanian Layered cabbage with pork mince and sausage, with a side of chopped liver that was just perfect. The portions were a very good size, but it was so good that I kept eating way past full! The service was also great, with the food coming very quickly, considering how busy they were, and the staff were super-friendly. I'm looking for an excuse to go again!

With only 21 Espresso, Corner 75 and the Kurtosh chains as Sydney's Hungarian go-to, no surprise a simple cafe upon first glance has more than meet the eye.
Kathy and George were super helpful in arranging our booking of 6 given how incredibly busy it gets on a Sunday, let alone Mother's Day! Goulash very hearty yet filling given how tender the veal is. Serves a wide range of mains, desserts and entrees which were very difficult to select.

This was the place I used to come everyday for my lunch few years ago. And I introduced to my family and friends to come yesterday. But this waitress - boss daughter was so rude to us at beginning, she smiles to other customers but not us. And other young waitress was very nice and helped me to order some food for my sick child - very low sugar level. Inside was very full, so we decided to sit outside towards to the street. The lady asked us to go sit at back, but my parents didn’t like at back was very dark. I said to her we can take two tables, and my other friends has not arrived yet, we just move two chair to sit in the one table to chat and have a coffee first, later when other three people arrive we would move to the next table next to us, but this lady came few times to scream at us asked me how many people do you have! And also said to me “ wait and see who will come serve you” I asked can I talk to your boss? she creamed pointed to herself, “ I am the boss, come to me”. She was so rude! I have been living in Australia for more than twenty years, this is the first time someone I met discriminated at us. I won’t come back again. Just want let this boss daughter know, we are same people, all human, there is no difference at all. Yesterday I have three old parents and one sick 3 year old daughter with me, please think of when you going out with your parents and child, how do you and they feel!

Old school comfort food - love it. Not many of these kinds of places left in Sydney. Good service, nice wine list. Crumbed veal was moist and tender. Deep fried mushrooms with blue cheese dipping sauce - yum. Only thing missing was potato salad. We will be back, even just for the nostalgia ?
