Cool venue that needs a little extra love. Had a great time with the show, but the amenities and comforts would benefit from an update and attention. Great selection of beers, and plenty of punters around for pre drinks.

What a magical theatre PRIVATELY OWNED AND FUNDED...WOW.. what a great job they do and what a beautiful place to visit, with kids or on a date, like a museum

Twelfth night, what can you say. It's an old theatre and not terribly comfortable, there's no parking but it's a Brisbane icon. A place full of wonderful memories and a place to make new ones. Go there before it's gone.

I attended your theatre Twelth Night in June for the My Fair Lady musical.
After several phone calls over just a many months to your theatre as I spoke to Luis about mobility access to your theatre, he advice me their were only 4 steps that I would need to negotiate, I even requested him to measure them as stairs/steps are one of my main enemies.
Having been told that there were just these few I committed to driving up from Nerang Gold Coast to attend the Friday 21st evening show. On passing the theatre it was noticed that there appeared to be more stairs than advised. I had originally thought I would travel by train and use my scooter to get from the station to the theatre but with the disruptions to the track during the Cross River rail project decided that it would be better to drive. And use my scooter to access the theatre. Upon passing the theatre in my car it was noted that there appeared to be far more stairs than indicated starting at the very pavement entrance to the venue. So it was decided I would alight from my vehicle and wait for my Niece to park the car where-ever she found a spot and return to assist me in entering the theatre. When she eventually joined me I requested her to ascertain the degree of difficulty I would experience in getting to our seats E9 and 10. Upon the news that I would be facing a major challenge but having waited so long for this show and travelling from Nerang I decided to proceed. But found it very difficult and upsetting the start of my evening. Had I followed my original plan I would have been unable to even enter the building as my mobility scooter cannot negotiate even small stairs.
It took till interval before I was able to relax and enjoy the show, of course there was no way that I could avail myself of the interval break faced with climbing the stairs again so just had to sit and wait.
I did enjoy the show but must say the whole experience of attending the venue was by no means enjoyable and put me in bed for the following day.
I would strongly recommend that it is noted on your internet presence the lack of mobility access to your venue and that Luis not misinform anyone who should enquire.

We went to see My Fair Lady, and it was a treat. I loved the 1964 film, and this musically was as good, and the acting performances were excellent and, in some cases, better than the film

We saw it from the front row, a new experience for us, at was at times a little difficult to take it all in. Perhaps a aeat in the centre would have been better.

It was one of the best performances we have seen.

Every seat is indeed a good seat in this wonderful theatre. The only concern is the average physical size of patrons has increased over the decades, so this could be an issue for exceptionally well-fed members of the audience.

I have been to countless shows at the Twelfth Night Theatre over many years. I love the intimacy of the theatre to a point where the audience feels a part of the show. From musical acts (like John Williamson), to musicals (Rocky Horror Show, The Abba Experience), to comedies (Dad’s Army) and comedians (Bob Downe) I have never been disappointed … and in fact have been delighted. I am also aware of the enormous charitable contribution the theatre makes to bring theatre, confidence and belonging to disability groups and underprivileged communities. The Twelfth Night Theatre is a wonderful part of our greater Brisbane community. I highly recommend attendance to anyone that hasn’t yet had the opportunity to experience the theatre and all that it brings.

My wife's idea of fun is watching a 3 hour musical in a quaint little theatre where you don't mind the very upright low back seats because it adds to the adorable character of this place. Me? Well I take her because she loves it.
