It's a great place. I missed the part where there was no signal and probably would have booked elsewhere if I'd known, as it was a romantic getaway and I'd told my young kids they could reach me anytime. At the same time, it was nice to be screen free.

The first night the fire alarm randomly went off twice around 3am which was unpleasant and interrupted my sleep.

This is NOT a place to bring children, of any age. I'm surprised anyone would do that.

My husband and I stayed in the pole house for a midweek getaway! From the minute we drove up the rainforest driveway we knew this place was special. The place is so serene and private. We were greeted by a family of friendly kookaburras who visited daily. Everything you could possibly need for a private getaway is catered for from the 12 eggs and bacon for 2 days, milk, crackers, fruit and cheese platter, chocolates and Champange, bath robes and a Spa. The bed was super comfortable. Everything was very clean! I could go on and on but to sum it up I could have stayed for a year here! If you want a private getaway I’d start packing now?

An absolute pleasurable stay. From the outstanding friendly staff, to the amazing rainforest walks , beautiful surrounds and walking paths it is truly a magnificent experience. |Our quaint cabin had a spa, fire place and and all the comforts you could possibly want for a relaxing stay. |With fabulous restaurants, scenic views and picturesque landscapes the Tree Tops at Montville is a perfect example of a hidden treasure … do yourself a favour and book your stay today

Highly recommend this place. Very nice owner, even gave me $200 discount! All towels, soap, complimentary breakfast, milk and juices, coffees and plenty of firewood provided. Sadly we did not get the chance to use the 3 beautiful verandas as we always going out and a bit cold outside. Very peaceful place, just no internet but that’s what you want if you mean total break, surprisingly I did not get bored?. The spa bath is perfect! Will be back again when we can. Just wish dogs allowed but we are kinda at a National Park so it is understandable. 4 nights is not enough, wish we could have stayed longer. September 11-15,2023(8th yr wedding anniversary)

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Treetops! Warm, cosy atmosphere at the cabin. Wood burner was the best!! Very quiet and peaceful too! Truly was a lovely get-a-way. We enjoyed our breakfast hamper. Cabin was clean and so well designed. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Can’t wait to go back.

I really wanted to be able to give this place five stars but I just can't.

We stayed in the Dreamtime cabin for two nights and it was very cosy and open. We had 8 verandahs, two king beds, a kitchen, which really could do with an oven or microwave oven.

The fireplace and heater were fantastic, spa was great and the shower and water pressure in our cabin was fantastic.

I understand this is meant to be a quiet place where you can meditate, be romantic and possibly find inner peace but without phone reception (I'm with Telstra and no internet I found it extremely difficult to meditate (my calm app wouldn't work, I could read morning tech news or play COD or fortnite in the early hours of the morning (I have insomnia).

Now, this is my fault for not researching this place thoroughly enough. If you have lots of friends who party and drink by the fireplace all night then you'll have a cracking time. I

If you like to read books and love a good digital detox, then this is for YOU.

If you have kids, do not book this place. They will literally smother you with their pillows whilst you are asleep when they find out they can't use social media etc for their time there, unless they sit 5 metres within the main reception which is not a feasible idea.

Digital detox aside, we had a remarkably nice time. We were extremely close to kondalila falls (great hikes), bird word and Malaney.

The Dreamtime cabin was extremely good value during the week and the beds were very comfortable. The free bacon , eggs and toast, chocolate and champagne are also a welcome surprise.

I would hesitate to recommend this to certain couples and groups of friends and if they manage to get wifi in each cabin I'd change it to five stars easily.

It's just not going to be a place that most teens and young children will be entertained unless you have them extremely well trained to not need internet or digital devices.

Sure, you can use a DVD player and 32 inch tv but somehow I don't think that will cut it for them.

Treetops Montville is the most beautiful place I have ever stayed. I really didn’t know what to expect. If you’re looking for somewhere to completely shut off, focus on you (and your family) this is the place to come. Montville is a hidden treasure and there’s so much to explore. I stayed at Dreamtime and the architecture and styling is amazing. The whole place was unbelievably clean, you can tell that the cleaners and the landscapers take pride in their work. Even the pot plants are some healthy looking plants. Every single room and deck has a wow factor about it. We had a couple of hampers which were extremely generous and quality produce.
100% looking forward to making Treetops Montville a yearly vacation, I just need to make sure we book longer.

Honestly best weekend getaway I’ve ever had. Couldn’t have gotten any better. Included breakfast with cooking facilities, open plan area surrounded by windows and a great view, located walking distance from a waterfall, can hike and swim or if you prefer the accommodation has its own pool. Stocked fireplace, split system air conditioning, courtesy bus into town, great twin spa. Definitely will return! Every window had a curtain if you prefer some privacy. Don’t change anything!
