Damian the owner is a great human being! Extreamly accomodating! From our experience we feel he runs this place out of kindness and not greed. He genuinely cares about his guests!
The bath is AMAZING!
The Gardens are BEAUTIFUL!
There is a large diverse group of people living there, some long long term and some short stay!
Unfortunately we only stayed a month as job circumstances changed! However we will be back there for SURE whenever we pass through!!!
I didn’t get to try the mangos 🙁 as we stayed in May. There are orange trees, herbs, tangerines and kumquats.
The house is at the base of castle hill, which provides a really nice safe feeling but the sun does shine down all day making the gardens beautiful to spend the day in! There is a free BBQ, toilet roll, washing up supplies. The cookers ARE induction so just beware of that. ALSO... if you are a none smoker, do say at the start for your room to be far from the communal smoking area (our room backed onto this area so we had that unpleasantness)

The owner is very nice and helpful. The rooms are nice . The whole place is nice and the gardens are Beautiful. If you get the right mix of people in there , they become your family.

Best accommodation in Townsville in regards to value for money. This is my 2nd time having stayed a few months each time and I haven't had any issues. The environment is very hospitable with multiple communal areas where you are able to talk with other residents or sit by yourself depending on you. The owner is great to deal with, the people staying are mostly mature age and work. The house backs onto Castle Hill with multiple "goat tracks' if you are interested in going for an adventure. Castle town Shopping Centre is only 3 blocks away and the beach is a 5 minute drive. WiFi is available with 5gb included in your rent and an option to buy more if needed with it being cheaper to purchase then buying data through a phone provider... I've lived in similar accommodation on multiple occasions along the east coast from Victoria to Queensland and I am confident when I say that this is the best Guest House I have been to and easily best in Townsville.

This is the perfect place to stay when you are in limbo and looking for a permanent place in Townsville or staying for a medium to long term. The setting is great the gardens are peaceful- just a great location full stop 🙂

Nice quite place to stay. Basic and simple no frills. Pleasant owner and staff. Some of the other guests can be a bit bothersome, while others are totally lovley to chat with.
