Attended Tones and I concert last night. It was a really good meeting with her and having a picture with her. The sound system was incredible together with the performances. Coterie was the first band performance and it was fantastic. Unfortunately I did not take their performance live pictures but I managed to get this picture of them. Fantastic boys.

Was an amazing night... all except they ran out of cans of soda before the event even began. If you can avoid parking there you'll not be waiting hours to get out afterwards.

Had fun watching the Townsville Fire. Good game. Venue was good enough. Seats are hard on my skinny butt. A 2nd scoreboard on the opposite side would be nice.

We went to see The Eagles Tribute Show.

Went to see a comedy show two nights ago. The show was great however was really disappointed with the security staff. During the show there were several staff standing directly in front of the audience on the top landing totally blocking the view from the audience to the show. A particular staff member kept walking up the stairs directly next to us and must have had tic tacs or similar in his pocket which made a lot of noise as he continued to walk up and down the stairs. I’m not sure why he continued to do this, there did not appear to be any patrons behaving inappropriately as there was quite a few empty seats around this area. Security should respect the audience who have paid a lot of money to view a show whilst performing their job.

Secondly, we went to see a concert the next night. We arrived early in order to access the merchandise store. After lining up for almost one hour there was a lot of confusion when another line was started on the other side. There were people who had purchased VIP tickets who were kicking off as the lines appeared to be mixed with people with VIP tickets and people without. Ultimately a totally different door was opened in the middle which resulted in a stampede of everyone pushing through to access the merchandise store. No Signs or directions provided to patrons by staff members, pure lack of organisation and was not a great start to the evening.

The shows were however fantastic and the seating plan and set up was great could not fault that. The outside meal trucks were great but it would be nice for more seating. None of the meal trucks could sell water or soft drink we had to go to the bar to do that which the outdoor bar near the trucks only sold alcohol so we had to go all the way to the other side which was a bit silly.

The only issue I've ever had at TEC, and I've been a few times, is the excessively long lines for refreshments and merchandise. This could EASILY be remedied by having one or two extra staff (and I mean just one or two) to fill that hole before a show starts. Total cost $120. In this day & age, customers simply don't matter.

Great venue. But bring a jumper the air con runs cooooooolllddd. Parking was easy too and close by.
