perhaps my favourite coffee space of all time.

i have been to MANY. i do a lot of my work in cafes because i find that the hustle and bustle helps to ground me.

but there’s something special about this one - perfectly summarised with one word…

openness.

the space embodies openness in its TOTALITY. from the physical space itself which has clear and wide openings from end to end - to the incredibly well-informed and genuinely cultured people that occupy it (staff and public alike…) i wasn’t kidding, Timbré is an OPEN space.

there is also a strong emphasis on bringing awareness to the different aspects of the Australian Indigenous community and the cafe even has an entire library of books on topics surrounding it (there’s kids books too! so something for everyone)
it’s a lovely detail.

the connections i’ve made here simply by existing in this space have been quite literally life changing. you will find artists, business owners, eclectic characters of all kinds and genuinely solid people : it seems the cafe attracts those kinds of folks and repels (or transmutes) others.

and mate, i didn’t even touch on the quality of the morning brown ☕️
where do i begin?
-delicious and complex flavour profile
-perfectly executed presentation
-sustainably sourced beans
they did it ALL. it’s f***n incredible.

so, yeah. i’m here almost every day. practically a part of the furniture at this point because the space seems to raise my vibration so addictively high that i just can’t stay away.

if you’re still on the fence, don’t be. you have NOTHING to lose and EVERYTHING to gain.

There is good coffee and there is great coffee. The coffee at Timbre is another level again. Drop in for a takeaway or stop for a while for a chat or to read something from their large collection of books on indigenous topics. Not a place for lunch as they only have ready-made sweet treats.

It's coffee they come for.
It's coffee they've got.
The long black they crafted
Was right on the spot.
A slice or a bliss ball
Is the total of food.
But I came for the coffee
And the coffee is GOOOOOOD!

PS
I did have their Apple Walnut Slice
And I will say it was very, very nice.
