The Vintage Secret Garden is a wonderful restaurant. Beautiful location, amazing interior great vibes.. they have both indoor and outdoor seating ?.. decorated with fountain, cycle, and swing and given a vintage touch.

The restaurant is quite popular amongst locals. It's popular for high teas and cocktails.. menu is great.. quite a few options to choose from.

They should focus on service, though.. wait staff is not attentive enough. I ordered a drink and had to wait 40 minutes and reach out to them twice for my order of one drink. Also in menu dip was included but it was not given.. when asked for it they made it sound like we need something extra. I think the place is fabulous but they should focus on service more.

The ambiance at The Vintage Secret Garden is charming, with a quaint vintage decor that sets a cozy vibe, but the experience falls short in other areas. The service is mediocre, with staff seeming inattentive and slow, leaving us waiting longer than expected. The food is average at best, lacking standout flavours. Unfortunately, even their desserts were a bit of a letdown.

Overall, it’s a nice spot to look at, but don’t expect much beyond that.

We visited here for my dad’s birthday lunch on a very busy Sunday. However, the wait staff managed everything exceptionally well. We ordered drinks, entré, main course, dessert and coffee - everything was impeccable!!!
The flavours in each dish were beautifully curated. The staff is welcoming, friendly and always serving with a smile.

No words for the ambiance - such a beautiful atmosphere and so peaceful. I will definitely be coming back very soon. Keep up the great work!

I had high hopes for this café after hearing some buzz, but unfortunately, my experiences have been disappointing. I visited twice, and both times left me frustrated.

On my first visit, I waited an unreasonable half-hour for a simple sandwich, which should never take that long. Yesterday, it got even worse—an hour wait for a main dish during lunch on a Saturday is simply unacceptable. With a busy lunch crowd, it’s essential to have adequate staff in the kitchen to handle the rush.

While the servers were friendly, the service left much to be desired. My drink took forever to get delivered and my empty plate sat on the table for a good 20 minutes before anyone noticed.

As for the food, it was just okay. I ordered two salmon dishes, and unfortunately, both were overcooked with soggy skin. To make matters worse, there was inconsistency in portioning—one dish came with a single asparagus spear, while the other had four. This lack of attention to detail was disappointing.

I understand that everyone has different standards and expectations, and I’m sure some people may enjoy this place. However, based on my experiences, I cannot recommend it. Would I go back? No.

Such a hidden gem! Like a whimsical garden tucked away in Galston. From the moment you enter you feel like you are in a little wonderland.

The laneway to the restaurant is adorned with foliage with a swing seat to your right and a large floral heart centrepiece straight ahead. Right behind it is a little fountain and a small checkered garden.

There is indoor dining and alfresco surrounding another fountain that lights up after dark in their twilight sitting.

The food is a bit of everything and has such a creative flair to it.

Parking is free and there is a car park or you can park on street. It’s not metered I believe.

The cocktails were divine and the staff were so helpful in making our cocktails match our outfits too!

The deserts were a winner with one of them coming in a flower pot with edible rocks and sand!

Amazing ambience, location, food & service.
The staff were very accommodating and supportive. All our guests complimented us for choosing this venue and the food and cake as well.
I will definitely plan my next party here again? and so would be a lot of my friends

We visited this place on the weekend, and it seemed like the staff struggled to handle the crowd. The ambience is excellent, but the management needs to ensure it stays clean. The self-serve water glasses were very dirty, and we couldn’t find any clean ones. We ordered a halloumi grill, which was supposed to come with olives according to the menu, but it arrived without them and we had to request them separately. On the plus side, the vegan stack was fantastic. While the food was good, the service and management need significant improvement.

This place has a stunning atmosphere, The ambiance was truly enjoyable, making it a great spot to relax and unwind. However, while the setting was perfect, the food itself was fairly mediocre—it didn’t quite live up to the rest of the experience. Additionally, the service was slower than expected, which took away from the overall enjoyment.

It’s a lovely place to visit for the ambiance, but don’t go in with high expectations for the food or quick service.
