Great privately owned old pub that needs more support by Aussies who are sick of the big companies running pubs just gif profit and no community

Went to a function there on Saturday, old dried up bird poo on the tables, chairs broken and ready to cause an accident. Dirty plates and glasses on the tables from hours ago - the wildlife were enjoying it. Platters were ok but looked like someone with little experience organised them - cheese platter with no knives. One bar staff serving trying to keep up while the other staff member was drinking with the locals. When the other staff member/manager did serve, he served kept serving the locals as soon as they came to the bar, meanwhile there was a line of people waiting. The post mix tastes terrible, I think the lines need cleaning and maintenance because there’s something wrong there.

Positives - food was passable
Outdoor area and views are nice
Kids area is great with jumping pillow

The place is pretty run down but has the potential to be really good if staff cared about the place.

Don't book a function here. When you book a function area for a Wedding and pay for the area and a DJ to facilitate a function you will have the management allow anyone come into your party.
We had people we didn't know helping themselves to the food we paid for that was provided for the children of our function. The bar staff very rude and not accountable or accommodating at all. Will not return to this pub. Needs a good clean.
Drinks watered down spent $30 for drinks for the kids and the kids didn't even drink them as they tasted horrible. Also locals children can assault another child with no accountability from parents and nothing done from the staff at the establishment.
Good money was paid for the area to accommodate the wedding party and we were treated horrible.
Being told our party would be shut down due to the actions of people that were not part of our wedding party. The red head lady behind the bar was really unacceptable with her behaviour. Slamming glasses and making threats. Very poor move on her part as we will make sure all of our events are never at this place again.

The food was good went there to celebrate a birthday on Sunday. Staff excellent food always as well. Wish the government did not keep pushing the drink price up $25 for two ginger beers and that is just gov tax theft..... This will stop ppl meeting at pubs but that's what they want all in all great pub.......
