Funky hotel with a grungy kind of vibe. Still spotlessly clean though. Our room was spacious and we appreciated the little kitchen which included ample coffee pods.
Staff were very helpful and laid back.
And finally, the area is really lively with masses of eating and drinking options.

Clean, comfortable and quiet. Service was friendly. Coffee maker in the room. Drinks and munchies are supplied in the foyer each afternoon for guests. The layout is cool making use of a different older structure. Blends in very well with the Newtown area. Air conditioning was great. You can open the windows too. Plenty to see and do and eat in the local area. Bed was very comfortable. Bathroom small but clean and functional. Parking isn't easy but we found free on street nearby. Check the signs very carefully.

Excellent location for a night out in the funky Enmore / Newtown area
Service and communication before and during our booking were very good. They did take the full money out 3 weeks before our stay, which I found a bit odd, given the booking was made as a no payment until arrival. Though I understand this is due to high demand and security of bookings.
The suite itself was very clean and tidy, with everything you need for a short stay. Lovely bathroom soaps, shampoos etc.
A little noisey - if you're not used to flight paths!
Free drinks and snacks in the hotel lobby. All in all a great stay!

I have just booked my second stay at The Urban because the first could not be faulted. Great service, lovely staff (despite my late night arrival), and very affordable given the convenient location. It is a very short walk to Newtown station and they offer late check-ins at no added cost. I found it very quiet considering the location. I 100% recommend booking on their website directly to receive a better price and some fun discounts at nearby bars and restaurants. I am a woman and travel alone, and I felt very safe at the hotel.

Very good location, clean and comfortable rooms and very much enjoyed the stay. The no refund policy with an accidental booking the night before, with no room credit and/or sympathy lead to a disappointing experience in terms of service. Otherwise great hotel aside from that ‘policy’.

Stayed in a king triple with the kids. The room was clean and comfortable and reasonably quiet even though we were on the main street side and under the flight path. Firm beds. Suggest earplugs if you are a very light sleeper. Kitchenette was small but functional - don’t expect to be able to prepare full meals ? - and the evening drinks and snacks were a nice touch.

Great location.
Room was overall very dusty and felt a bit grimey, although the bathroom and bedding were pretty clean.
Staff were friendly and the complimentary drink on arrival was very nice.

Down the street from Enmore Theatre, this place is an ideal location.
The atmosphere itself had this cool 'urban decay' feel, which I really appreciated.
The room itself was really comfortable and had things like a microwave and a cook top.
The only thing wrong would be that the bed was too hard.
(I get it, you can't please everyone lol)

So I recommend staying here?
