One of finest eatery’s in all of New South Wales. The atmosphere here is second to none. When you go here make sure to be extremely not scared. There is one of the loveliest security guards and he happens to be my uncle. He is always helping the community by lifting up cars with his bare hands and also stopping traffic for elderly. The food though is really what sets it apart. The specials that this hotel puts on are completely outstanding. The accomodation is must do if you are ever out this way. Make sure to stop by and also put on a bet you may get lucky and win big. Or you could go in one of their many high level raffles. I would rate the heritage hotel the best pub and Accommodation within 100m of the Heritage hotel.

Absolutely appalling experience was had by all in our group this evening. What used to be the best pub in the Hawkesbury is in a very sad place now.
Very over priced food on a massively reduced, boring menu took 20 mins to order (with only 3 people in front of us at the time) to 90 mins for the food to arrive including garlic bread as an entree.
One cook and 4 other kitchen staff in the bistro did everything but assist the cook or serve customers. Kitchen staff also took an order from a woman who queue jumped, this led to half of our party being served their food 30 mins later as the orders were pushed back because of this occurring. When you have a 3 yr old who is hungry and tired and not being able to settle him, this exacerbated the bad experience we were already having.
Had to ask for more gravy all round as the serving size was about 10mls in a plastic cup, had to ask for cutlery, had to ask for sauce.
Teenagers were play fighting and punching on in the bistro area, coming very close to the tables whilst we were trying to eat our meal and not a staff member was to be seen anywhere to stop this occurring.
Also a very loud and uninviting atmosphere, what’s happened to our pub? Seems to be more of a tax write off now than a caring business.

Currently sitting here having just enjoyed the most delicious salad. Wonderful atmosphere, delightful staff from the barmaid to the kitchen staff. Recommend this place to one and all. Nobody could be disappointed here.

if you want to stay in accom 'off the beaten track' which is clean and value for money then i would recommend this little hotel. it doesn't look as flash as some however it is not as pricey either and it is well placed for riad touring the area. meals are good and staff very helpful. i liked hearing birds instead of traffic noise and the fact that it is all on one level so good for this older person ?

Yeah look my wife and I went there for an 18th birthday and waited 45 minutes for our meals. The pork belly was amazing but the pizza wasn't the best but having said that the drinks were fairly cheap so winning! Not a bad place overall but they really need at least one more person in the kitchen to get things humming when it gets busy, especially when you cater for take out ?
