Room was very comfortable but unfortunately in the vicinity of a compressor or motor which switched on at regular intervals throughout the night. The restaurant staff are all delightful, but could probably do with some training to make them even better. The wine list is strange - quickly hits $175 per bottle with not very much for less than that. The food at the restaurant was perfect!

This is the most hidden gem. It is a 5 star restaurant and dining experience in the middle of Victorian country side and only 1 hour from melbourne airport. The rooms were spacious and beds so comfortable. The dining and food service gives even the best of Melbourne’s wineries a serious run for their money! You will not regret staying here. Rolling green hills and a cozy fire place

I stopped off here for 1 night in July. The price was similar to a motel, and yet it was anything but. The manager who checked me in was extremely welcoming and really made me feel like she was grateful for my business. I had dinner in the ‘granite bar’ which has a simple but tasty menu, if you don’t want a more sophisticated dining experience. It is literally just a bar though, so don’t expect much ambiance, although the roaring fire was lovely. The rooms were very comfortable and nicely done. All the amenities you would need. If I had 1 critique about the room, it would be: 1) moisturiser 2) full length mirror in the room (instead of on the back of the door) Also if you’re on the road side (even tho it’s not busy), heavy traffic can be loud.

Loved our lunch at Trawool Estate. Service was fantastic, food was incredible and high end.

I would say the only downside was their cheaper range of wines. Some of them could be found at your local Dan Murphys. Which is fine however we were looking for a few more options.

Plenty of choice on the higher end bottles however which is great if you want to spend a little extra.

Overall a fantastic lunch by the fireplace inside with friends. Would absolutely recommend such a beautiful space.

The Estate is picturesque, and in a secluded location in Trawool. The rooms are magnificent, plush, cosy and a big size with the staff being so lovely. The bar, two restaurants and reading room along with sport facilities are well appointed with the food and drink being exceptional quality. The only blemish would be some service improvement in the main restaurant, however I put this down to inexperience on the part of the junior staff.

Will definitely come back

We stopped by on our way to Mansfield and were so surprised by the stunning location and incredible architecture and design. There’s so much well preserved history and the manager and bar tender told us all about it!

Jason made sensational cocktails, was super friendly and even took us on a tour of the building. We were amazed and absolutely will return. We left with huge smiles on our faces everyone was so friendly. Definitely a hidden gem

Absolutely loved our experience at Trawool. This was a little one night getaway that exceeded expectations. Everything we needed was at our fingertips including 5 star dining options (we ante ant Wind Water annd loved it!) and loads of outdoor activities. We enjoyed the great Victorian run trail that was right outside, and if we had more time would have defitniely played pickleball or tennis! The staff and service were outstanding, we will definitely be back.

Trawool Estate was our base for riding some of the Great Vic Rail Trail, set in a perfect location which the trail is right at the rear of the estate. The room was modern and light, beautifully presented it was also very quiet at night for a great nights sleep. From our time on the phone booking the stay to our check out was fabulous. Nikki took our booking call and we were lucky enough to have her at reception on our arrival, she was extremely helpful and pleasant giving us all the information we needed for our stay. We dined two nights at the estate, Wildwater and Turbine both very different with really great food and service. We recommend Trawool Estate for a cosy getaway. Definitely call and book your stay direct, this way you will get the best possible deal available!
