Great helpful friendly staff. Made us feel so welcome like staying with family.
Look no further for great food and a nice drinky it's all here. Breakfast is a self service basic all you need affair. There's great coffee shops nearby and the historical attractions start only a short walk toward the sea front with the National Trust prison building.

We had a wonderful stay at Tasmania Inn. The location is fantastic—it’s very close to the city center, and although it’s by the street, it was surprisingly quiet at night, so we had no trouble sleeping. The owner was extremely friendly, and the atmosphere among the guests was warm and welcoming. The bathroom and shower were spotless and very well-maintained. On top of all that, the price was very reasonable, which made our holiday stay during the festival even better. We were so glad we chose this place!

After we left, the owner contact us and said we have lost our important document, they were very kind and immediately offered to mail it to me. I’m incredibly grateful for his generosity and helpfulness.

I highly recommend Tasmania Inn to anyone visiting the area. It’s not just a great place to stay—it’s run by truly kind people. We would definitely stay here again!

Some rooms have shared bathrooms but not all of them, just in case that’s a thing for you. Staff were all lovely. Saw a dead mouse but it was still cute. Wonderful pub accommodation tbh.

Came in for a classic Thursday Night Pot n Parmi meal <3 can never go wrong. Friendly&efficient service 🙂 snagged a sweet seat by the window to watch cars n ppl drive by beneath the setting sun sky. House lager goes down ultra smoothly… parmi came out hot n fierce 😋 The secret special touch of pesto makes this NO.1 Parmi for sureeee! GOSH! Can’t fault it. 5/5, always a treat! Good salad n good chips too! Also I think they have option for mash and veg… perhaps…. You probs won’t regret a visit!

We loved our 1 night stay at the Tasmanian Inn. Friendly, helpful staff; free pool; an inviting and warm atmosphere; and charming no-fuss accomodation. Will stay here next time I visit Hobart for sure.

The old pub has been refurbished and the lovely fitted out dining room was packed on this Friday night.

Very pleased to see beef, chicken and vego options along with a parmi.
All in all a good experience once the beef schnitzel had to be returned due to a questionable taste, staff handled the return well, providing a replacement chicken schnitzel and a freebie wine.

A little pub just up the hill from central Hobart, great value for money as breakfast of cereal,toast, tea, coffee & orange juice is included.Opposite a Woolworths if any essentials are needed.Limited reception hours, no big deal as I arrived at 3.00pm when reception opened.Friendly place to stay, but try and avoid room 2, right next to the toilets & bathrooms as you can hear everything going on and people don’t know how to quietly shut a door.Overall great overnight stay, would recommend.

Things to know: Staff members are friendly and shown to your room. The rooms are very basic (not even a tissue box in the room), but they are clean with fresh towels on arrival. The bathroom and toilet are SHARED amongst the guests. Definitely bring shower sandals. If you choose the room with the patio you should note that the music from the pub plays on the patio until quite late - they kindly tried to turn it off but it’s all one music system. It’s a great place if you’re just looking for somewhere to sleep as a solo traveller or couple.
