The Check-In process is a bit strange, if you booked online. Be patient follow the instructions. If the online booking system did not give you instructions (like mine), don't panic, they'll get you fixed up. The lady that runs the place I'd fantastic and professional. She's dedicated and will take good care of you. Thanks 😊

My first work trip to Katherine, I asked a colleague where to stay, he recommended the stuart hotel. I was not disappointed in any way. Next time work sends me to Katherine, If there is a vacancy, I'm in. On my preferred suppliers list, so to speak.

Tidy motel with super friendly and attentive staff. It’s self-check in, which is really convenient. The facilities are clean, safe and close to local amenities. The pool was lovely to cool off after a hot day. The rooms are air conditioned, with a fridge and comfy beds.

We stayed for one night and whilst our room showed some wear and tear, it was clean, the bed comfortable, towels and linen good quality. Well equipped for basic self catering with some crockery and cutlery, microwave, fridge and coffee machine. ( although we didn’t use any of these as we went on the Sunset Dinner Cruise through the Katherine Gorge) . We found it to be quiet and secure.

This place was not what we were expecting at all. It is a self check-in and you get your codes the day prior to arriving. Check in was easy. The car parking behind security remote gates was limited and it is first come first serve basis and because it is quite narrow people park their cars crooked taking up 2 spaces. There is no hotel now as the police officer we met trying to find it told us it has closed and is now a "Coffee Club" franchise. It is just accommodation so not sure why their website states karaoke and food. I was more angry at the $195 per night i was charged for a "Deluxe" Semi self contained Room for what we got. The room although dated especially the bathroom was just ok. Beds were comfortable and linen clean. The "kitchenette" as such, had the plates, glasses and bowls just sitting in a dish rack on the bench, no tea towels or dishcloths to wash up and they were all dirty. Some plates and glassware still had food and wine marks still on them. Certainly not enough tableware for 2 people, we had 1 bowl between the 2 of us but 4 plates. Lucky i had bought my own plastic ware so opted to use it instead. The only good thing about this place was the pool which was lovely. We walked 5 mins to the local RSL club for dinner which was lovely and cheap. We felt safe walking at night but kept our witts about us like anywhere i suppose. The tv was poor and we had to try and plug in HDMI cable ourselves from previous customers. To sum up our 2 night stay i would suggest to stay elsewhere as there is much much better places to choose from. I have attached 1 photo of the pool area as i didn't want to be reminded of our stay here

I kind of like that I get keys from a safe, open the gate, park the car and I am done. No waiting for check in or filling our paperwork. |The rooms are always consistent. Older style but well kept and well appointed. |Only downside (I think this happened last time too) NO MILK!’ I had tea bags, coffee pods, coffee machine, sugar…. But no milk. If you’re like me you need milk for your tea / coffee first thing in the morning or you’re grumpy all day 🤣. |Otherwise it’s become my goto when in KTown.

I’ve stayed here a few times now. |I couldn’t find the email with the code for the lockbox and had to Google to find a contact number to call. From then on things were smooth.|The rooms are large and well equipped. Linen is clean, the beds are comfortable and the aircon is nice and quiet. |The rowdy locals are not the hotels fault but if they turn up in the carpark next door and. start their sh…t you won’t sleep. 2am -4am for me 😳. |There is a small but secure carpark and the entire complex is safe. It’s an easy walk to the Katherine Club or Woolies.|I’ll stay here again next time.

I can understand some people being shocked when they arrive and see the security gates and the surrounding street. But that’s Katherine.|Once inside this little hotel you are safe and sound so just relax. Yes it’s old but it’s also very comfy.|My room had been renovated and had everything I needed. Everything was absolutely spotless and well organised. My car was inside a security gate and there’s a pool, restaurant next door and a bottle shop. What more do you need! |We walked to the Katherine Club for dinner and drinks which was great and we’ll priced.|Oh yes, there is a karaoke place next door where the locals make some noise, but it was over by 4pm. Some of the singers weren’t bad TBH! |Overall I’d say this was the best place I’ve stayed in Katherine so far, and I’ve been in a few. There’s even a price guide so you know what you’ll get charged if you steal anything. Can’t be any fairer than that! I’ll be back for sure šŸ‘
