So refreshing to be able to get served at the bar by bar staff who know what they are doing. Excellent!
Queues … but sufficiently staffed to manage the volume of patrons.
Food was a bit average however we went for a quick cheap feed so got a fair return.
Floor staff are great at clearing away glasses etc

A pleasant experience compared to the much more overrated, new Brisbane Star

My wife and I (28 and 32) had a really fun time here. Super relaxing but lots to do, we loved drinking mimosas and splashing around in the pool and we loved the buffet!!!!! Amazing service from Alina who checked us in and Kelly in the executive lounge. And all the staff in every part of the bars/hotel/casino were amazing!!! Super impressed and would come again

My disappointment with the dining experience we had during your New Year’s Eve event. Despite the high price point and anticipation for a memorable evening, the service and overall experience fell far short of expectations.

We were seated at table number 9. To our surprise, three salmon mains were consecutively placed in front of us, including one meant for the empty seat at our table. Meanwhile, the next couple at the table received two beef mains. Like most event, an alternate dish is provided and is as stated on the menu.

When I raised this with a staff member, we were assured the situation would be looked into. However, after most guests had already finished their meals, the issue remained unresolved. Upon following up with another staff member, we were dismissively told to “sort it out with your table,” even though we did not know anyone else at the table and everyone had finished their meals. Menu says alternate meals not sort it out with your table.

We finished one salmon dish and didn’t want another salmon dish as we have never order the same dish whenever dining out. My husband remained hungry and had to purchase additional food elsewhere, which is unacceptable for an event of this caliber and especially when we came from Sydney.

Was an excellent stay! My friend and I had an amazing time. Sue on check in was very friendly and nice! I believe Andrew from concierge was very friendly, the other concierge didn’t say much but never had to wait long for the car. In room dining arrived very fast both times we ordered, one order arrived in less than 15 minutes! Executive lounge was nice and an added bonus! Beds comfy and aircon cold. Rooms slightly dated but well appointed !

Before the vacation, I was high expectations for this hotel.
Unfortunately , this was a bad experienced here,
. no complimentary basic item at room, NO bottle water, none of toiletries, no slipper etc. This was the worst facility what i experienced at 5 star hotel level. Anyway, paid extra for its if you needed.

For breakfast buffet, I think is “can try” but the people traffic was horrible during 8-9 at morning.

This is not a good vacation hotel I recommended , just a casino purpose for.

Our 25th Anniversary celebration at The Star Gold Coast turned out to be an unforgettable experience—even though it started with a booking mix-up on my part! I had intended to book The Star Brisbane, but only realized my error on the morning of our trip when I double-checked the details. What could have been a disaster turned into the best surprise ever.||From the moment we arrived, the check-in staff were exceptional—friendly, professional, and incredibly welcoming (even a staff member in training was so very welcoming). Once settled in, we explored the hotel, enjoyed fabulous cocktails and wine, and capped off the day with an extraordinary - taste sensation ‘kinda’ - dining experience.||Our dinner at Nineteen was nothing short of spectacular. Every bite was a burst of flavour, cooked to perfection—hats off to the chef(s)! Our waiter, Michael, went above and beyond to make the night special. Even the guests at the next table over joined in, with the country Chile being an unexpected connection. The evening concluded with a surprise “Happy Anniversary” dessert, beautifully presented and complimentary from the restaurant.||But the surprises didn’t stop there. When we returned to our room, we were greeted with a chilled bottle of bubbly on ice—a thoughtful touch that perfectly rounded out the night.||To everyone at The Star, thank you for making this milestone celebration so memorable. You exceeded all expectations, and we’ll treasure these memories forever. 10/10 from us—highly recommended!

Last minute getaway. It had been years since we had stayed at the casino on the gold Coast. Good value and found the staff so friendly and helpful. Our standard room was clean, quite and comfortable. Attended Bill Bailey and Queen tribute at the theatre - Great entertainment. The pool and spa area had a relaxing vibe, ample seating with shade. Looking forward to coming back.

The stand out at the restaurant is the variety. Seafood!

The staff are super friendly. The chefs come out of the kitchen and mingle witht eh guests. If you go on busy nights like weekends, the lines to the buffet are ridiculous, but the staff do their best to move people along
