We had an absolutely amazing meal here and would highly recommend! I had the scallops and the duck which were probably the best meals I've had in a very long time. Service was excellent and the lovely waitress was very patient when we couldn't decide what to order. Will definitely visit again!

Highly recommended. Will be back to sample more!
Update: we're now regulars and addicted to their coffee. We bought the coffee beans for home too but, I'm not as good a barista as them so we still go regularly for our coffee treat. The Moroccan Eggs is a new breakfast favourite. Well worth a try! My wife loves their hot chocolate and we're still exploring our way through the menu.
Staff treating us like regulars now which is lovely. 🙂

Lovely staff and a beautiful atmosphere. And amazing coffee!

I was staying at a hotel on The Strand and wandered down the road to find a coffee in the morning. I stopped at two coffee shops on the strand that were closest to my hotel. At both of them, the staff didn’t acknowledge me standing there, even just a quick “be with you in a second” would suffice, I don’t mind waiting when people are busy. I walked off from both shops as I got sick of standing around unacknowledged at the counters.

Walked in to the Spirited Goat, who were busy with breakfast in full swing. The gentleman working the front immediately walked up to me to ask how he could help, and took my take away coffee order. He was so friendly and warm. The coffee was quick and one of the best I’ve had inTownsville.

The atmosphere, music and decor in there is gorgeous. I’d never been there and will now be heading back for breakfast soon to try the food after my experience!

Coffee is brilliant and croissants to die for.
We stopped in on the way through from the Gold Coast to Cairns, we didn't want to stray too far from the Bruce Highway but were both heartily sick of service station fare. And what a delight we found - fabulous coffee, sassy wait staff and a really cool vibe. The croissants were so good we got some to go too.
Will be back for sure.
(When we made it to Cairns we mentioned the Spirited Goat and turns out our relatives had breakfast there a lot when they were staying in Townsville for a week and loved it as much as we did).

Anywhere that does brunch cocktails is deserving of 5 stars. Would have appreciated a check in from wait staff to see if we would have liked another drink. Food was amazing!

Was delicious. My only complaint is the portion size but that's because I'm a dude who eats 10 weetbix for breakfast.

Such a beautiful group of people who I can’t speak highly enough of. My grandparents are frequent customers, and I can’t thank the team more for taking care of my grandparents so beautifully. Every time I visit my grandparents, the first place we go to to have a coffee is the spirited goat! They make a fabulous iced long black and I highly recommend visiting if you are looking for a lovely breakfast in Townsville!

The Salmon & Truffle Gnocci dish and the Roast Duck dish was 10/10. Yet to have a bad meal from here. I forget this place exists and visit every couple years, each time my expectations are exceeded!
