The Social Spot cafe is under new management. I am a local and Saturday mornings are usually a nice long walk abs a coffee here. Today I ordered fried eggs on toast , sunny side up with sourdough bread and a lactose free cappuccino with cinnamon. Overall I was happy with my eggs, only the bread portion was smaller than usual but it was nice though.! Next time I’ll prefer extra bread but no worries there is a wonderful bakery next door!!. My coffee was beautifully crafted and smooth, you could taste the coffee beans but also the subtle flavours if the chocolate and cinnamon ( you can request it) , I recommend it highly.
So, if you want good coffee and nice updated menu that also has a range of burgers , sandwiches, wraps, vegetarian, kids menu , salads and wonderful coffee I suggest you try and come in!. There is limited sitting due to Covid but I suppose you can call order in advance or come ask for takeaway . I’m currently. Enjoying my time alone reading the morning paper. Pure joy.

Very disappointing with the new owners. Scrambled eggs were very overdone. Menu said comes on sourdough. Got white sliced bread instead. The eggs benedict had overcooked poached eggs. Menu said comes on English muffin. Came on old, dry sourdough. No applogy or explanation on why we didn't receive exact same items as listed on the menu. We waited a long time for the food and no apology for the wait. No one approached us to ask how the food is.

Didn't like the taste of the food. Ordered runny eggs and they came hard. The only thing I liked was the coffee so 2 stars

Ordered a picollo waits 20 mins (3 orders ahead of me), and then the lady gives me the coffee and says have a good day , I smiled and she had the audacity to say thanks you too , I should say thanks for wasting nearly half an hour of my time ?
