We just had our wedding at The Sherwood on the 9th of November and everyone was so impressed with the food, service and overall experience. All the staff were incredible. Very hard working and incredibly accommodating leading up to and during the event. They even offered a specialised cocktail which was delicious! The food came out timely and all staff were so helpful. They even supplied all cutlery and plates for cake cutting. I would highly recommend as a wedding reception venue. Very gorgeous interior. Great set-up. Great staff. It made our day even more glorious.

Really impressed with this venue. Not only was it open for dinner on a Monday night but the meals were reasonably priced and decent in size!

Had a wedding out the back of the Sherwood. It was decorated so lovely. Most people liked the food. I'm a fussy eater so wasn't a lot that I liked. I thought it was a great place for our function. I couldn't fault it. Only complaint some guests had was that there wasn't enough bar staff. I would definitely recommend the Sherwood for a nice intimate function.

The head chef and team in the kitchen at the Sherwood ensure a beautiful meal. The blonde lady who runs the bar is a delight and always brings a vibrant and kind energy to her job.

Had a brief visit to Lismore and was looking for a place for a quick lunch and happened to park outside of the The Sherwood Hotel. Being around 1:00pm it was surprisingly quiet, but we ordered our meal and it came out quickly and was very nice....no complaints at all, and to top it off, as we were leaving we decided to have couple of games of pool, if you are in the area would recommend for sure.

Our group of 8 people made a booking for dinner on a Saturday night. When we went to the bar to order food, they told us there would be a 20 minute wait, because they had a function and the kitchens were overloaded. So instead of taking our orders, they told us to go away and come back when the kitchen was freed up. 20 minutes turned into 40, but we finally got to order food and it came out at a reasonable time afterwards. Food was nice, slightly above average pub food.

Today I ordered the Beef & Stout Pot Pie.
The flavour was good, the meat tender.
BUT, the 'gravy' was the consistency of WATER, no exageration! ?
Clearly zero thickening agent added, extremely disappointing.

The rump steak was disgraceful. More gristle and fat than meat, and what little meat there was was chewy. I paid an extra $2 for veges and mash. The mash was the best part of this meal. The veges consisted of one stick of broccolini and a dozen beans, and the broccolini was more stalk than flower. For the prices this pub asks you would expect a far better meal. Very ordinary.
