The Select Inn Ryde | Hotel in West Ryde - West Ryde, New South Wales

I stayed at this hotel recently for 4 nights and cannot recommend it highly enough as a very cost-effective, clean, surprisingly quiet and very friendly place to stay outside the usual city centres in Sydney. I wanted to be within walking distance of my daughter's home so took a chance on a local hotel within walking/bus distance to West Ryde shopping centre where I could easily arrive by train from the airport to keep the travel cost down. The hotel manager gave me excellent nightly rates (I've never stayed in a Sydney hotel at a lower rate), advice and prompt, friendly taxis on demand. The room was modern, comfortable, very clean and as a bonus, gave me a brilliant view towards the city across the Ryde-Parramatta Golf Course right next-door. For anyone needing to relax in their room, sitting back and watching the golf activity was perfect. The location of the hotel on busy Victoria Road was surprisingly painless in my second floor room facing away from the road - once the door was closed, the room was very quiet. I tried the Korean restaurant downstairs (it was fine) and noted that there were laundry and kitchen/microwave facilities available upstairs and an outdoor pool, but didn't need to use them. There was also a very handy cafe (Cafe On Melrose) within a short walk along Victoria Road amongst the new apartment buildings. All in all, this hotel exceeded my expectations of a suburban hotel and I will happily stay there again in future.

My friend and I stayed at the Select Inn Ride for 2 nights and the view of the golf course was amazing and the staff were lovely. However, the quality of the room did not meet our expectations. Both of our towels and our bedding were stained. When asking for a different set of towels, the new ones also were stained. When we went to use the kettle, we luckily checked first as there was mold on the inside of it. The toilet was unnecessarily high off the ground, which made it extremely difficult to use as our feet were practically dangling off of it. There was also a strange smell filtering into the bathroom presumably from the food place downstairs.
Overall we would have had a more pleasant experience if it wasn’t for these things

My family stayed at the inn for a function at nearby Lauriston House and the service was incredible! The staff went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable, and were so kind and welcoming.

The rooms themselves are clean and modern, with great views of the golf course. Despite being on a main road, the rooms were so quiet and comfortable.

I can’t thank the staff of the Select Inn enough, and would highly recommend them!

Our experience from beginning to end was really awesome. The communication provided to us with late checkin instructions, checking in and just the overall stay was above and beyond. Customer Service from the reception that we dealt with made our stay that much more better. Thank you Select Inn Ryde, we will definitely be back!! Loved the view from our room too, thank you for accommodating to our requests.

We stayed here for the convenient location to Accor Stadium. There was ample parking at the hotel when we arrived and check in was smooth and welcoming. The room was quite spacious with a modern and clean bathroom. Will definitely be staying here again for any future concerts.

This is a lovely hotel, the room was very clean and spacious. The owner was welcoming, engaging and helpful. The location was perfect local shopping centres and Sydney Olympic Park. The pool was perfect and clean great for the hot days.

Klondyke steam

Great hospitality great rooms great location. Bus 501 to city at the door. Lots of take away and massage places nearby. Micro wave oven in laundry useful. Great views of golf links.

Nice clean and modern rooms, Yes there is a little road noise but considering it’s on Victoria road it’s not too bad and could be a lot worse.
The wifi wasn’t working but that was a temporary issue and can’t fault them for that.
The only issue I had was the bed was as hard as a rock (very firm)so if you like and are used to a plush bed you may wake up with a sore back like I did.
