We have stayed twice at Rustic Huts - we went back with more of our family because it was so special the first time. From beautiful horses within arms reach of the front deck, to the unique and wonderful farm experience provided by Tania and Phil - we loved all of it! The huts are so beautiful and were clearly built with care, love and a great eye to detail. They reflect the beauty of life all around in this magical spot. Very comfortable and with extremely generous breakfast provisions. Thank you so much to the hosts!

Just a beautiful location, rolling hills, green grass, beautiful mountains in the background. Comfortable huts with heaps of character. I liked it so much that I stayed for 4 months.

Amazing service. You can interact with the farm animals, go and watch their cow get milked and meet the potty calf. The rooms are very beautiful and large enough to room 6 people. If you have a barbecue you might even get to meet the owners dog.

Our family had a great time and learnt a lot. Tania, Phil and Misty the dog made us all very at home. We had a lot of laughs and fun during the farm tour and morning activities. The hut was nice and neat. Thank you Tania for accommodating our request for a roast dinner on the first night and a BBQ pack for our second night. The accomodation was excellent. Very clean, 2 bedrooms, kitchen, dining and loungeoom. Plus 2 verandah with furniture outside.and more that you could wish like fire place. Bed is large queen size and soft.. Owners are very lovely. Also plenty of farm animals. Views of the mountains and fields and orchards. 5 min to the beach at the same time. The best 3 days spent in Tasmania. Close to shops.

Highly recommend this sweet place for more than 2 nights if you have children! It was the first time my 5 years old said ‘I want to stay here forever- I’ll clean the house every morning!’
The farm stay is only 7-10 min drive to the nearest supermarkets in Penguin.
The huts are full of details and the beds are comfy! The fridge was full of fresh homemade food for breakfast! The lovely and generous hosts spent their morning with us all! We all got to learn about their farm, made butter, fed the animals! My mom was particularly excited to see the raspberry bush and the produce!
My kids enjoyed managed to bring their homemade butter all the way home in Singapore!

My family, some friends and I spent a couple of nights at the Rustic Hut last week and had the most amazing stay – it was one of the absolute highlights of our three week trip to Tasmania (a trip that was filled with many highlights!). We have wanted to do a farm stay with our kids for ages and the Rustic Hut was just perfect! Our kids got to milk cows and learnt how to separate milk from cream and churn cream into butter, we had a very interesting tour of the farm and helped feed the animals and collect the eggs etc. The huts we stayed in were so beautifully designed and incredibly cosy and inviting, with a gorgeous open fireplace and incredible views over the most beautiful mountains and valleys. Tania and Phil were lovely, welcoming hosts and we are really looking forward to returning to the Rustic Hut in the not-too-distant future. Highly recommended!!

I stayed with my daughter and 4 grandkids for 2 nights , the cabin was cosy and comfortable and very clean.||It is a relaxing spot with lots of birds and wildlife to see, as well as farm animals ,you feel like you are miles from town but it is just down the road . The owner was friendly and helpful . A very pretty view of mountains and the sea.
