I stayed the night before I was doing the City2Surf run as it is literally a 5 minute walk to the start line and it was a great price compared to hotels in the city. Once I had booked I received a confirmation stating that bags could not be held and check out was 10am and the code to open my door would be changed. That was a bit of a nuisance as I knew I would probably get back from the race at around 10.30/11. Thankfully I had a friend staying in Sydney so I took my bag to his hotel the night before and wore home just what I was wearing to race the next day. The room itself was very clean and tidy and well presented. The only thing I would have like to see done is for them to put in a kettle with tea/coffee. It would be minimal outlay for them but would make someone’s stay just a little more pleasant. Being above the pub you obviously had noise but, honestly, for me it wasn’t that bad and I got a good nights sleep. Shared toilet and bathrooms on each floor and kept clean. I would stay here again for the race if I could secure a slightly later check out ?

Nice little boozer out the way of the chaos. Lovely Barman (Beautiful red hair forgot to ask his name!) was super helpful with my wine selection and very friendly. Quite like the seating with shorter stools.

The hotel is not worth staying. Toilets are outside the room. Bedsheets dirty. Room not maintained properly. NO ELEVATOR so if you get a room on second floor good luck carrying your luggage. NOT RECOMMENDED FOR STAY.

Best place in Sydney to get Cooper's pale ale on tap. The guys behind the bar were legends. Plenty of funny people watching to be done looking out onto George Street too.
Favourite pub on our trip.
Would be great to be there when it's busy for a bit more atmosphere but we found every pub in Sydney CBD to be quiet.

This place has no atmosphere and clearly the owners/management don’t prioritising customers or staff. One of the more expensive places to drink schooners/pints with no happy hour. It’s very rare to see this place busy. Maybe a few suits after work but weekends seem to be dire most of the time. There is a lack of good security and the pokies are a waste of time in this venue (should be replaced with some sort of kitchen). Prices are high to pay for the RAS cheap schooners - appealing to one group of people is the wrong way to run this business. If you’re looking for a good atmosphere, and a pub that is loved and cared for - this is not it. There are a couple of lovely staff members but as for management - pretty non existent or not professional at all. The normal staff members are very pleasant and care more for the pub clearly than the management. The management have no consideration for their staff and are very rude in front of us customers. Need a serious overhaul of higher up management I think.
