We have stayed at the point at least four times in the last 20 or so years with a long gap between the last visit and our most recent in October 2024. We always stayed in one of the bay terrace villas and the same again this time. Our unit was showing obvious signs of wear and tear, the timber floor, the skirting boards, the curtains/ blinds etc all need attention and maintenance , some of the kitchen appliances are way too old and some of the furniture was very much on the cheap. We also had the bad luck to be given one of the smaller units with the single car garage, which could barely fit a ford ranger, with literally only an inch to spare - not for the faint- hearted driver to park there! This also meant that our balcony was tiny! |HOWEVER… the view was still as fabulous as ever and we consider that the main attraction for choosing to stay at the bay terrace villas of The Point. From out balcony whales were observed daily as were white bellied sea eagles and the state of the surf was easy to judge. Drive down to main beach and parking was easy on weekdays. Communication with office staff before during and after our visit was efficient and easy. We are very likely to return for the sixth visit in future!

Wouldn't come again. The room allocated was old, with dusty carpet and a very stale moudly smell. To cover this smell an overpowering oil diffuser was in place that reeked even worse. The units are all privately owned but the rubbish old ones with no updates are charged out as the newly renovated ones and whichever you get? Well that's luck of the draw apparently. Felt pretty ripped off after paying so much per night and getting an old, musty unit that's half heartedly cleaned. Appliances were old and everything you might need for your stay including beach towels is available at an "extra charge". ||Well, at least the view was nice.

I had a wonderful stay. Reception sent me updates on checking in and informed about the place. I had a one bedroom apartment that was on two levels and most spacious. The bathroom was large, it has a washing machine. Upstairs was the spotless and well serviced kitchen. The lounge room was open with a comfortable large lounge that led out to a balcony with a million dollar view. Ideal for breakfast and catching the early morning winter sun. ||It was the perfect place to stay.

Clean and tidy which is the most important thing. Very nice view. But the bed was so uncomfortable and had one thin sheet over it, made it impossible to sleep. Definitely need to sort their bedding situation out

I recently had a 7 night stay in villa 59. Beautiful views of the ocean from the balcony. Spent hours whale watching everyday. Make sure you bring binoculars. The main bedroom had a comfortable king bed with a smart tv. The 2 bedroom had 2 king singles which were a bit uncomfortable needing an upgrade. The unit was spacious and new flooring and carpet. Kitchen and bathrooms were a bit dated but everything was supplied. I would have thought the bathtub/shower would be attached to the spare bedroom and walk in shower in the main it was hard to climb into. The couches were hard as a rock with a small 2 seater and 2 one seaters. I would suggest getting a new 3 seater and a 2 seater as an upgrade. In general really clean comfy villa with a spacious balcony in a beautiful setting. Quiet on most days a bit of road noise but nice to be out of the hassle and bustle of downtown Coolum. Might be too many stairs for older people or people with bad knees. Mary was very helpful and polite on check in.

We recently stayed at these Villas. It was a fantastic location. The villa was very clean and had a cracking view over the ocean. I would highly recomend staying with them.

We walked into our apartment and all we could see was SEA! |Everything about our stay was just lovely . |We didn't have any problems but I felt confident that Mary on reception would have sorted any issues. Communication , right from the time of booking through to our departure was excellent. Would definitely stay again.

I had a lovely stay at The Point while I was in Coolum. The entire booking, check in and check out process was seamless. I appreciated the regular text message updates and how they accommodated an early check in for me. The apartment was clean, neat and tidy with terrific views of the ocean. The apartment had everything you need for a long comfortable stay. Bath (with jets!) washing machine, dryer, dishwasher etc. Its directly across the beach for easy access. The staff were so friendly and helpful. I look forward to staying there again.
